Traveling With Jay Roe
Queenstown, New Zealand
If there’s one thing that everyone that rides BMX needs to do at some point… It is to use it as an excuse to go somewhere. Traveling is one of the best parts about BMX with the endless possibilities of spots, parks, people to meet and places to see. It really doesn’t take much to find a reason to hop in a car with a few friends and mark a spot on the map and just go.
One person in particular who knows this is Kink‘s team manager, Jay Roe. Over the past few years he’s travelled with the team all over the world from the countless trips around the U.S.A to Canada, the U.K, Australia, China, Russia and more.
We figured with the summer coming up for most of us in the northern hemisphere, we would catch up with Jay and talk about what it’s like to constantly be on the go, with a full team to look after, and find out some of the things he has learned along the way. Let’s take a peek!

Product: Kink – Minus One Sprocket – Out Now
The new Minus One sprocket from Kink is OUT NOW. This 6.3mm thick sprocket is CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a unique look that helps reduce weight without sacrificing strength. This sprocket works with 19mm and 22mm spindles, comes in sizes of 23, 25, 28, 30 and 33 tooth versions (that includes the missing tooth) with colors of black and raw and a weight of 2.4 oz. (25t).
The Minus One sprocket is available for $39.99 on Dan’s Comp or you can have your local shop hit up Blackout Distribution to get you one ordered up today!

Product: Kink – Stealth Pivotal Seats
Here’s one we’re stoked on. Dave over at The Merged dropped an exclusive first look at the new Stealth Pivotal Seat System that Kink have just released. This system uses the same pivotal notching system, but instead of a bolt through the seat, it uses a bolt on the bottom similar to how the Tri-Pod system works. You can get all the details along with a closer look RIGHT HERE!
