Since Sunday‘s inception, they’ve always been pretty notorious for pushing things with unique frame technology. When I think of their frames the wave tubing and the sturdy down tube gussets come to mind. For 2013, they have revamped their entire line of frames with new geometry, new features, new colorways and even a few new names. I figured it would be a good idea to get ahold of Jim Cielencki to find out more about the changes they’ve made for the line that started hitting shops the other week. Let’s see what he had to say!
Fiend dropped another update on Ty Morrow’s signature frame that’s due out in January. This frame features a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.8″ bottom bracket height and a 13.71″ chainstay length. The frame features top and down tube gussets, an ovalized down tube, ovalized chainstays that tapers and flattens out at the drop out, a tapered and flatened seat stay, a stamped Trip logo and a laser etched Fiend logo on the seat stay bridge. You will be able to pick this frame up in 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″ top tube lengths with the Hammer Tone Bronze colorway that will go with matching bars and fork.
