The other day, Ted Van Orman dropped a few photos he shot recently around different trails and parks around Colorado into my email’s inbox. I’m a big fan of Ted’s work and he never disappoints, so we decided it would be a real good idea to do a photogallery for you guys to check out. You will find 10 riding shots from guys like Adam Baker, Mike Meister, Troy McMurray, Mat Olson, Kelsy Hoog, Nathan Fons and more with some real scenic Colorado backgrounds in this fresh new gallery for you can check out…
The other day I received an email from Nick Jones with a sample of his work. I was really stoked on what I was seeing, so we decided it would be rad to put together a bunch of his photos together into a PHOTOGALLERY for you guys to check out. Nick came through with 15 rad photos and some captions so let’s take a look at this!
Flash back about a month ago and word about a contest that Chad Kerley would be throwing started popping up on Twitter from a few of the people who got the first round of invites. A few days later it was announced that Chad and Vitaminwater would be inviting some of the top street riders in the world to The Bakery for a rider judged contest with $20,000 in prize money up for grabs.
Fast forward to this past weekend and 30 of the best riders in the world are crammed onto a limo bus cruising from the high rises of downtown Chicago into the secret location of The Bakery in a less than glamorous part of the city. Some of the riders had visited before but most had never been inside this playground of goodness. Walking into the building I was blown away with how amazing the spot was and just watching some of the guys start warming up the night before the contest it was clear there would be some amazing things happening within the next day.
Saturday came and once everyone was ready, the cameras were fired up for riders all over the world to watch the live feed of what was without a doubt one of the best contests to happen in BMX ever. I could go on and on about all the wild riding that went down, but I don’t think you want to read a book. So I’ll just keep it simple and say I can’t even begin process all the incredible things that went down and I’d like to give a huge shout out to Chad Kerley, Brian Kachinsky, Vitaminwater, Ride BMX and everyone that made this event possible.
While I was there, I pulled out the camera and shot some photos. Check out 70 photos from the event in this new PHOTOGALLERY!
