If there’s one thing I wish more people understood in BMX is what a warranty actually covers…. Get the details on the Profile Racing Warranty Policy!
If you have ever worked in the BMX industry, especially in a position where you’re dealing with customers for a brand, there’s a good chance you have dealt with a broken part and something that may or may not qualify for a warranty. Unfortunately, BMX is hard on bikes and things will break and that’s just the nature of things. Even more unfortunately is that a large number of riders believe that they deserve their product to be warrantied when something breaks from wear and tear and doing something that would cause the product to fail. We actually went into great detail on the What Does A Warranty Cover? piece when we released it last year explaining the different levels of warranties, what is covered, what isn’t covered, tips and tricks when it comes to the process.
… Unfortunately that probably hasn’t reached nearly enough people to get everyone on the same page and there’s probably a brand getting chewed out on Instagram or Facebook right now by somebody who broke a part and expects a warranty… They’re probably making threats of ruining the brands reputation or calling up a lawyer. Seriously… It happens a lot more than you might think and it never gets any less ridiculous.
The crew at Profile Racing decided to put together their own guide explaining their different tiers of warranties from their Lifetime Warranty to their 30 Day Manufacturer’s Defects warranty, the crash replacement program and more. You can learn all about the Profile Racing Warranty Policy right here!
After you check that out, we HIGHLY suggest you check out What Does A Warranty Cover?. Seriously.
If you don’t fully understand what is covered in a warranty, we advise you take some time to read into both of these features that we just mentioned above because there’s a good chance you will find information that will help you understand better. It’s also important to note that virtually every brand follow similar policies when it comes to warranties in BMX. I could go on and on about the importance of this, but it will turn into a biter rant from some brutal experiences with incredibly rude and uninformed people, haha. So we’ll just wrap this up right here.
