The BMX Triple Challenge from Monster Energy rolled into Salt Lake City, and this time around they mixed it up to make it a speed and style event! Instead of the standard 3 jumps and a quarterpipe, this mixes in some ramps to make things interesting. Here’s a look at the practice and qualifying. We’re definitely digging this since it mixes things up and makes it more interesting than who can send it with the biggest bag of tricks.
“Things got switched up at the Monster Energy BMX Triple Challenge in SLC, Utah. Switched up how you ask? Wellllll they built two identical lines, with an industrial sized container to jump in and out of that leads you to the last BIG trick jump. Two riders will go at the same time, They are calling it “Speed and Style” and it might be my new favorite format for these events. See what the riders had to say during practice and stick around as we roll right into the qualifying round.
Event Format: 2 runs, best run counts, 16 riders will advance to the next round” – Our BMX
