Shortly after announcing the Tree Bicycle Co. would be discontinuing their production of frames to benefit their team riders, it was announced the Bobbie Altiser had joined the Colony team. Right around that time, it was hard to go a day without footage of Bobbie popping up in one of the edits coming from California. We figured with so much going on lately that it would be a good time to find out what’s new. So let’s check out what he had to say!
Don’t forget to “Like” and Tweet this if you are a fan of Bobbie’s!
Name: Bobbie Altiser
Location: Hannibal, Missouri
Sponsors: Tree Bicycle Co., Colony BMX, CEM
Years riding: 11
It was announced a few weeks ago that you were the newest addition to the Colony team. Do you have anything in the works with them yet? Welcome edit, trips or anything like that?
I am going to start working on a welcome edit very soon and later this summer I’ll be at Woodward West with a few of the guys on the team.
Tree announced they would be solely a parts brand, which had lead to the Colony deal. How are things going with Tree these days? Do you have anything cooking with Sam this year that you are getting excited for?
I don’t think Sam cooks anything, haha. I’ve got a few ideas though!
Do you have any other fresh sponsor news you can tell us about?
Colony is flowing me parts, I’m really stoked on that.
I’d imagine you have been getting plenty of time in on the new setup lately. Where have you been getting most of your riding time in lately? Any spots you have been real psyched on?
I’ve been riding my local park in Hannibal a lot. I’ve been eyeing a few new spots, just waiting for the right time to get stuff done.
It seems like you have been popping up in a large number of edits lately. Have you been pretty motivated to film or have you just happened to be around when guys like Miles Rogoish are filming?
I have been filming a lot more than I usually do and I’ve been around when people want to go film so I try to go out get a few clips for whatever it is.
When can we expect to see some more footage of you showing up? I know I can’t wait for that welcome edit for Colony…
I imagine a few random mix edits here and there. I’ll be putting a lot of time into upcoming projects for Colony and Tree.
Given you didn’t really experience a winter, but now that the weather is starting to get dialed everywhere else, do you have any travel plans for the summer yet? Where can we expect to see you popping up?
I’ve been home for about a month now. I’ll be at Woodward West for week 2 of camp. I plan on traveling around quite a bit this summer; more than likely back and forth between the Midwest and West Coast.
Is there anywhere you don’t have planned on going to, but really would like to make it happen?
I want to go everywhere! Somewhere Scandinavian would be amazing.
I’d imagine you aren’t having too much time finding the motivation to ride these days. What are you doing to help keep things fresh for you?
New tech-combos help keep me happy.
What have you been up to while you aren’t riding these days? Are you working anywhere?
I’ve been doing quite a bit of artwork in my free time. I have also been working/ building ramps at my local bike shop, CoolByke.
Do you have any fresh hobbies you have been getting stoked on?
Painting A LOT lately; it’s not a new hobby, but it’s feeling the most fresh.
Have you been caught up in any sketchy situations lately?
No, I wish!
What’s the last song you heard, movie you watched and website you visited?
Discovery: Carby ft. Ezra Koenig; The Count of Monte-Cristo (1975); Twitter
Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
