And we’re back! After a week off, thanks to me slacking during Texas Toast, we’re back on it with the Products: column! This time around we’re going to take a closer look at the new Mike Aitken signature MotoMike frame from Fit Bike Co., the Forever top load stem from Subrosa, the PolyCarb pedals from The Daily Grind, the Freedom bars from Freed Bikes and the Protocol heat-treated cranks from Madera! Ready? Alright, let’s do this!

Thinking about a new frame? Did you know Mike Aitken’s new signature MotoMike frame from Fit drops next week? This revamped and updated version of Mike’s previous signature frame is made from Supertherm tubing right here in the U.S.A and features a 75.25-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9″ stand over height, 11.65″ bottom bracket height and a 13.35″-13.875″ chainstay length. You can find gussets on the top and down tubes, a butted top tube, tapered seat and chainstays, single bend chainstays for extra clearance, a butted seat tube, removable brake mounts and an integrated seat post clamp. The Motomike will be available with top tube lengths of 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″ with color options of translucent gold and translucent smoke black and a weight of 4.87 lbs!

The MotoMike frame will be hitting shops and Mail-Orders in the next few days, but if you want to ensure you get your hands on one first, have your local shop hit up The Building Distribution today to get you one ordered up.

Fresh pedals for those fresh cranks? Duh! If you’re into plastic pedals, but you feel like you don’t get as much grip as you would with metal pins, then the PolyCarb pedals from The Daily Grind BMX are what you are looking for since they offer the best of both worlds. These pedals start out with a translucent polycarbonate body with a concave design and micro knurling for extra grip with 12 metal pins per side of the pedal for maximum grip and longer wear life than traditional plastic pedals with a chromoly spindle and unsealed bearings on the inside. The PolyCarbonate pedals are available in translucent black, red and purple with a weight of 15.2 oz.

You can pick these pedals up for $23.99 on Dan’s Comp or The Daily Grind Webstore or you can have your local shop hit up The Daily Grind directly to get you a set ordered up today!
