Next up, we cruised on outside of the main floor area and took the elevator up 27 floors to the Merritt suite to get a look at what Mike Brennan and Sean Curran have been cooking up out in New Jersey this past year. The brand is going into its second year and it’s cooking up a bunch of rad new product. Let’s take a closer look!
Brian Foster and Brad Simms’ signature bars got a little lift with their new 1-Up versions available on top of the existing sizes for those of you looking for a little taller bars.
P1 pedals in all sorts of colors.
Plenty of sizes and colors of the Mighty Sprocket.
Wax it up!
The new Chris Childs sprocket is looking rad. Psyched to see Chris’ name on a product.
Pegs for that wax.
Fresh hub guards.
Here’s a unique one. Merritt have developed this hub guard that works similar to the OG G-Sport hub guards, but instead of a shoe lace, you use this metal wire to hold it in place. Basically, you pull the wire off, place the guard on your front hub, then lace the wire behind the spokes then pin the head behind a spoke to create pressure to keep the guard in place. Interesting idea for sure.
Front and topload Inaugural stems.
This is a fresh one. Justin Care likes the look of a top load stem inverted, but didn’t like that the rise wasn’t as high, so they flipped the design to make it so it lifts upside down. Looks rad too.
Grip it and rip it!
Those SL1 seats look so clean.
Hubba hubba!
The Merritt Freecoaster. This guy is unique because, yeah, it uses the KHE internals, but they have replaced the bearings in the driver with some polymer bushings since the bearings are pretty notorious for blowing out. Interesting idea, that’s for sure.
People seem to be real stoked on this Trifecta tool. Simple for sure.
Brian Foster’s signature tire is getting a lot of buzz. Really digging this one myself. It’s definitely a unique trails tire, that’s for sure.
The new Option street tire is looking good too. Real curious about how well the sidewall idea works.
Fresh threads!
So that wraps up the Merritt suite. Definitely stoked to see some fresh ideas coming to the table and all of their new product in the works. You can find out more about Merritt and their products by visiting their website — MerrittBMX.com
