If you caught our bike check with Brian Kachinsky the other day, you would have saw that he mentioned that him and Jeff Klugiewicz were busy designing the course for this years Munich Mash BMX Street Rink contest. Today, they announced the confirmed riders and it’s a stacked list! Get the full details by making the jump!
“Exciting, dramatic, emotional and fantastic – that’s BMX STREET RINK. Last year saw the world’s best street riders do battle in the Olympic Ice Stadium on a course designed by “The Bakery”, BMX legend Brian Kachinsky. Now it is time for the next level! Twelve of the internationally most successful BMX athletes will once again gather in Munich to fight it out head-to-head on a spectacular track designed to push the best of the best to their limits.

Alex Kennedy / Great Britain
As reigning BMX STREET RINK champion, Alex Kennedy needs little introduction. The 25-year-old athlete travels the world, produces one great edit after another and is frequently among the winners at the biggest and best street contests on the planet. He recently came third at the 2014 rebeljam in London.
Chad Kerley / US
Chad Kerley came second at the 2014 BMX STREET RINK and will be on the start line once again this year. The San Diego local seems to connect tricks to endless lines with ease and shows unparalleled bike control. Proof of his unique talent can be found in numerous videos which frequently amaze BMX fans worldwide as well as his success in contests such as the X Games (gold medal) and the Dew Tour Streetstyle Contest (first place).
Simone Barraco / Italy
At 2014 MUNICH MASH, Simone Barraco finished third and took the Best Trick Award. In his opinion the 2014 course was the best he had ever ridden, and he is already looking forward to seeing this year’s edition. He certainly can count on the spectators’ support. Thanks to his unique style and innovative tricks the charismatic Italian is everyone’s favourite. Simone has left his hometown Genoa to live his dream as a BMX pro in the BMX mecca of Barcelona.
Bruno Hoffmann / Germany
Bruno Hoffmann is without a doubt Germany’s most successful and well known street rider. For years he has influenced the development of BMX Street with his unique individual style. Since the last BMX STREET RINK a lot has happened in Bruno’s life. His shoe sponsor Vans gave him his own colourway (a great honour in the world of action sports). At the rebeljam in London he won the prize for the Best Trick and at the Rider of the Year Awards he received the title Best Street Rider for the third year running. Bruno has also found the time to publish several brilliant edits and given an epic interview to what will (unfortunately) be the last print edition of the German magazine freedombmx.
Daniel Tünte / Germany
Daniel has won more or less every contest in Germany in recent years and has also started to make a name for himself on the international BMX scene. His victory at the 2014 Street Series in Berlin saw him leave several of the world’s best riders trailing in his wake. Daniel escaped the cold and damp German winter this year and went to Barcelona to ride together with Simone Barraco and work on as many new tricks as possible.
Alex Donnachie / Great Britain
The young Scot is a MASH rookie but more than deserves his starting place. Thanks to his creativity and unique style you hear his name in sentences linked to “the future of BMX Street.” His first place at the 2014 rebeljam and Best Trick Award at the Simple Session 2015 proved that he is capable of handling the pressure at big contests. Referring to Alex as a dark horse would be a huge understatement. Definitely one to watch!
Garrett Reynolds / USA
Garrett is the MVP of BMX. He has not only recorded countless successes in contests such as the X Games (7x!), the Dew Tour (4x) and the Simple Session (2x) but is also well-known for his eye-catching videos parts which leave BMX fans rubbing their eyes in disbelief. For the last seven years in a row he has been voted Street Rider Of The Year by fellow riders, media representatives and industry insiders. Somehow he still finds the time to run two brands – Fiend and Deadline – to support his friends and live the dream as a pro BMX rider.
Dennis Enarson / USA
Park, Dirt or Street – whatever the terrain, Dennis Enarson feels right at home. This all-round talent isn’t afraid to take risks and is looking forward to proving his nerve and skill once again this year at MUNICH MASH. In 2014 the San Diego local had so much fun at BMX Street Rink in the Olympic Park that he definitely wanted to be back in 2015!
Broc Raiford / USA
Broc Raiford‘s style can be best described as “one big muscle on a BMX”. Despite this, the American has the technique and skills to mix it with the best in the world – and always does so with a big smile on his face. Raiford won Best Trick at the Simple Session 2014 and was victorious at Secret Recipe Contest in Brian Kachinsky’s former skatepark “The Bakery”. Let’s see what he can cook up for us at MUNICH MASH 2015!
Dan Lacey / Great Britain
“Dan Lacey is a madman!” Without a doubt, Lacey is one of the biggest and baddest names on the international BMX scene. When he is in “beast mode” then there is nothing and nobody that can stop him. Huge drops, steep rails and technical tricks – you name it, he’s got it down! He is currently recovering from a foot injury but will definitely be back and banging for BMX Street Rink in Munich.
Devon Smillie / USA
Devon is blessed with bike-handling skills matched by few other riders on the circuit. His skills riding fakie (backwards) have seem him take this element of the sport to a new level in recent years. And on top of all that he also has an unmistakably sick style. At this year’s
Simple Session the fans’ favourite showed that he can deal with the pressure of competition, making him one of the ones to watch at BMX Street Rink.
Felix Prangenberg / Germany
At just 17 years of age, Felix may be the youngest rider in the field – but there is no doubt that on his day he can mix it with the very best. He has already made a name for himself on the German contest scene in recent years and is now looking to break through onto the international stage. At this year’s Simple Session, one of the most important international BMX contests, he only just missed out on qualifying for the final. His performance drew the attention of sponsors, and now he riders for the wethepeople pro team. A shooting star to keep your eyes on!”
