Putting in the time and hard work always gets results. For Andrew Castaneda it was a well deserved bump up to the pro team on Cult when his banger of a part in the “Small Talk” DVD dropped and years of that hard work. You better believe that Andrew keeps that bike of his dialed in to keep up with all the abuse he puts it through on a daily basis. We figured it would be a good time to get a closer look at his setup to see just how Andrew likes his bike to run and find out a little bit more about what he has going on these days! Let’s take a closer look!

What’s the newest part on your bike?
I just put on the some fresh Primo Pro cranks and grips
What’s the oldest?
The oldest part on my bike probably be the chromoly peg inside the butter peg.
What do you usually go through the most?
I probably go through tires and grips the most! I used to go through a lot of spokes but Primo has the dopest hub guards, so I don’t worry about it.
How do you like your bike setup? Is there certain things you need like your bars in a specific spot for it to feel right?
I like my bike to feel solid, normally have everything slammed. I try and run everything the way it comes because it just saves a headache when having to switch stuff.
Do you keep up with maintenance or do you just beat it till it’s dead?
I’ve always been on top of truing my wheels because I don’t like the wobble when your cruisin. I try to keep the bike running smooth.
Does your setup change much or are you pretty consistent with how it is?
I haven’t changed anything. I’ve been running the same set up for a while now. I don’t like to change very much.
Do you have anything you get paranoid of on your bike?
Naa not really! My bike feels the most solid it has ever been. All of the parts are reliable so there is no need to worry.
Summer is just starting to hit hard. Anything you’re trying to make happen this summer that you have on your mind?
I got on this New York trip. Now we’re at Cult’s Woodward week! This is a first for me so I’m hyped! Hopefully just try and stay productive all summer.
When can we expect some more footage of you to surface? Any edits in the works?
Yaa, I have been working on some stuff lately, so hopefully something will come of this summer!
What have you been getting into off your bike lately? Are you working or do you have anything else going on?
I’m busy with school if I’m not riding! I really don’t have any other specific hobbies but I dabble around with other sports.
How can people keep up with you these days? Are you on Instagram, Twitter and all that social media stuff?
They could hit me up on Facebook or Instagram: @andrew_cast
Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
Yaa, I wanna thank Robbie for always helping me with everything! Aaron for holding it down at Tip and keeping me rolling. Also I want to give a shout to all the homies!
