Next up I made my way to see the guys over at S&M and Fit Bike Co. to see what they had going on. It’s always a surprise with these guys since they do everything for the most part in house, so they are able to bring in some prototypes they just finished up for people to check out which is always awesome. Let’s see what they had on display.
Tom Dugan frame and bars.
Shawn McIntosh frame and bars. You can also get a little of the Marv “Duke of Wellington” frame as well.
Van Homan and Ben Lewis frames.
This is rad. Subrosa did something similar with this for that collaboration shoe they did with Osiris last year. Basically, that strip around the wall of the tire is reflective. It doesn’t look like it in the photo mostly because the shutter speed is so fast, but Moeller says it’s wild when car lights shine on it and everything at night. I am digging this.
I knew Fit had a lot of complete bikes but DAMN… I don’t even think I got photos of all of them. Either way, these bikes are looking real good. I can’t believe how far complete bikes come each year. The signature series bikes all look phenomenal as well!
Oh, they had this little sneak peek as well. It looks like Fit also have a collaboration shoe cooking with Etnies. How good do those look?
Here’s a look at some of the S&M product!
Mike “Hucker” Clark’s signature S&M frame is cooking. It’s basically an ATF frame but it has a longer chainstay length, taller standover height, the bullet stays and everything if I remember right. It’s a more tails inspired frame obviously since that’s what Mike is always riding, but it’s gotta be just bomb proof since Mike does some gnarly shit for sure. I know a few kids who are going to be really stoked about this.
Chad Johnston was hanging out in the booth so that was rad as shit to meet that guy. They’ve got some real dialed Intrikat stuff going these days. I don’t know a ton about flatland, but that’s a hell of a unit right there.
Here’s that 22″ bike that they dropped recently. 22″ frame, fork and wheels. So good. It sounds like these have been selling real well so I’d imagine we’ll be seeing more of this in the future.
Here’s one that everyone has been buzzing about. The Clint Reynolds’ Credence frames. This frame is a full on trails geometry, lower bottom bracket height, long back end, bullet stays. Chris said a lot of people have been getting custom frames in this exact geometry so I’d imagine this will be really popular. They’ve also got one other Credence frame cooking too. I’d imagine these will be out sooner than later as well. Hell yeah.
Overall, Fit and S&M were able to bring a lot of really good stuff to the table for this year. Fit has definitely been changing up their frames and everything this year and the completes are pure fire. Between the new frames from S&M and everything I think we’ll be seeing more of their frames on peoples bikes like back in the day.
