Next up for our Interbike 2015 adventure is Mutant Bikes where we caught up with Nuno Milhinhos to take a closer look at what he has been working on down in Portugal lately! As always, he has something innovative and unique to check out, so let’s get into this and see all these BMX goodies!
Mutant’s new Nylon guard is designed to be compatible with their front and rear hubs. They designed a special cone spacer that allows the guard to slide over. The Cone spacer comes on all their hubs now, but they offer the cone spacer separate for people looking to upgrade.
The Infamous Peguard is available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Mutant. Peg and hub guard built into one. Simple! Learn more about it here — Insight: Mutant Bikes – Peguard
The new front and top load stem is looking clean!
The new cranks Mutant have been developing will be releasing this winter. Design is a two piece system with one longer bolt that runs through the middle that joins the cranks in that spindle spacer. Pretty rad design. It sounds like this one is up for licensing so you might see a few other brands give it a go, too.
Not into the Peguard? Well, Mutant also have their external hub guard available soon as well!
Instead of metal wires, Mutant have a brake cable that uses nylon fibers instead and works the same as a linear cable. Pretty rad.
Here’s a unique color that Mutant is working on that is similar to the oil slick color, but more of a chameleon color. They aren’t sure if this color will go into production or if it will be available worldwide yet, but I’m sure if a lot of people start asking for it in the comments, they might consider it!
That wraps up the Mutant Bikes goods at Interbike 2015! This is just a sample of their product range, so check out MutantBikes.com for more.
