The latest BMX Videos, Products and News!
Summer is in full strength, the days are getting longer and the temps keep getting hotter. Thanks to that, time has been flying and it’s already time for another round of Products:! This week we’ll be taking a closer look at the Titan frame from Kink, Devon Smillie’s signature Fuego bars from Fly Bikes, the V2 Cassette from Madera, the Cheetah pivotal seat from Subrosa and then we will wrap things up with the PolyCarb pedals from The Daily Grind! As I write this, exactly one week ago today a ton of people were scorching in the sun down in Austin, Texas taking part of the X-Games that, for the first time in 11 years, had found itself outside of Los Angeles. The venue was massive, dirt was welcomed back as part of the events, the park and street courses were getting proper use, mega ramp continued to be huge and over 100,000 people took part in the weekend. Needless to say, it was a busy weekend for BMX. Although I personally had some other obligations for being there, I was still able to pull out my camera and shoot a few photos during the events and ended up with some 400+ photos to go through, edit and pick out for this photogallery. After all was said and done, that 400+ was dwindled down to 44 of my personal favorite shots of the weekend that you can check out in the link below! Take a peek!
There’s been a lot of innovation going on in BMX lately. It seems like we’ve been seeing a lot of brands putting their efforts into quality and more unique products as of lately versus the constant re-branding catalog parts, which is always a good thing. One focus point we have been seeing in particular is the fork. We’ve been seeing a lot of efforts put into strengthening the fork in some key places with some newer technology being applied to it. A perfect example of this is the new Inceptiv fork from The Shadow Conspiracy which is a completely fresh design compared to their previous options available. After a brief hiatus due to two crazy weekends in a row at Baco in Wisconsin and X-Games in Austin, Texas, we finally are getting back on our Products: column! For the 109th edition, we’ve got the new Chase Hawk frame from Cult (Appropriate for his X-Games win this weekend), the Broadcaster bars from Sunday, Rickey Moseley’s new Water Camo colorway from Profile Racing, the Agua fork from Flybikes and then we’ll wrap it up with the Ravager plastic pedals from The Shadow Conspiracy! It’s always awesome when photographers send through photos for us to check out. It’s even better when it’s a photographer we’ve had the chance to feature in the past and they send through a bunch of new photos that really show how much they have progressed as a photographer. We’ve featured Eric Silver’s photos on our site in the past, and they were some real good photos. Over the course of a year, Eric’s photo work has progressed a ton and it’s clear in the photos he sent us the other day.
