I can’t believe it’s already December. Where has this year gone? Amazing. But that’s beside the point, here’s the 33rd edition of Products coming in hot. We’ve got 5 more products maybe you can get somebody to buy you for the holidays to check out. Well, today is the day we are able to let the world know what we have been working on these past few months. Some of you may have caught on to the subtle hints we have been giving on Twitter and Facebook the past few weeks or even the links we dropped up top last night.
Shortly after partnering with Bikeguide, gears started turning and just before Interbike back in September, we started working with Dave Paterson from The Merged and Bunky Dunn from Free-Coaster on how we could all work together to promote all of the different content we have been producing. Anyone who is familiar with both of those sites know both guys are very good at what they do and have earned the respect from the industry through their talents.
Between The Union, Bikeguide, The Merged and Free-Coaster we are all able to bring you a different look at freestyle BMX, but we still felt like something was missing from this. That’s when Jon Saunders from Can You Dig It and Effraim Catlow from Flat-Matters came into the picture. These guys are both very well respected in the trails and flatland world and we saw them as a perfect fit for whatever it is we are creating right now.
Starting today, we’ll all be working together to bring you the best of the best in freestyle BMX from the videos and photos to the news, products and people who are helping to keep this sport moving forward.
There’s been a storm brewing for about 3 months now. We’re finally tying up the loose ends tonight and should be ready to finally let everyone in on what we’ve been cooking tomorrow morning. It’s been a real project, but I couldn’t be happier with the way things have turned out and I can’t wait for everyone to find out. It’s that time of the year when the days get shorter and colder. Most of us are stuck riding indoors or preparing for snow to hit. I say most of us because that doesn’t include sunny Southern California where it’s almost always perfect weather regardless of the time of the year. Since Sunday‘s inception, they’ve always been pretty notorious for pushing things with unique frame technology. When I think of their frames the wave tubing and the sturdy down tube gussets come to mind. For 2013, they have revamped their entire line of frames with new geometry, new features, new colorways and even a few new names. I figured it would be a good idea to get ahold of Jim Cielencki to find out more about the changes they’ve made for the line that started hitting shops the other week. Let’s see what he had to say!
