Last weekend was the annual BMX Worlds contest that went down in Cologne, Germany. Like every year, the contest grows and gets crazier and crazier. This year was no different minus the rain putting a damper on some of the riding that should have gone down. We sent Aaron Zwaal to the contest to see what he could come up with photos from the weekend. He came back with 24 photos for you to check out in our latest photogallery! Don’t forget to check back tomorrow from the Old School Haro Reunion gallery that also went down during the Worlds!
Through The Lens – What You Didn’t Know #2 – Ryan Russell
There has always been something intriguing to me about getting some behind the scenes details on a photo. I don’t know what it is about it but I just get stoked on seeing exactly how someone shot a specific photo and get a little insight into the process. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that every photographer shoots a little differently, which in turn makes each story unique in its own way. I can remember studying photos in magazines and borderline obsessing about the way that they were shot and honestly over the years not much has changed. I still find myself getting lost in photos to this day with the same level of curiosity that I had when I first started shooting. With that said, enjoy round two of WYDK.
Photogallery: NASS 2012
The past few weeks have been crazy in BMX. There have been major contests every weekend somewhere in the world and unless you haven’t noticed, we’ve had a ton of originals lined up for you guys to check out every single day. Sometimes things will slip through the cracks, and by cracks I mean the mess of an inbox that I’m currently working with. One prime example would be this photogallery featuring photos that Adam Frame took during NASS the other weekend. The event was plagued with rain, but it looks like they still managed to put down a proper contest. Check out 15 photos from the park, street and dirt contest!

Photogallery: Fabien Lefevre
There’s one thing that I always get really stoked on with the growth of the site. The thing that gets me stoked is that as things progress and grow, I come across more and more people I normally may not have had the chance to meet from places all around the world. A lot of the time, there’s a good chance they are talented at something other than riding a bike. Fabien Lefevre is one of those people who I came across recently that is developing into a real talented photographer. After checking out some of his photo and film work, it was clear that it would be a good idea to put some of his work in front of you guys to check out. We’ve got 18 of his photos featuring Ben Hittle, Luc Legrand, Clement Carpentier, Clement Baes, Fabien Dulong and more for you to take a peek at in this new photogallery! Check it!
Through The Lens: How To Sell A Photo and Deliver the Product
It’s no mystery that when you get to a certain level in the photography game one of your goals is most likely going to be to sell some of your photos. It’s a pretty rad feeling and it never gets old to be honest. I have been selling photos for quite some time now and it’s always an amazing feeling when someone pays you for something that you created. If you feel like your work is on par with what you see in the magazines then that might be a sign you are ready to start putting a price on your work. If you are looking to get some inside advice to help you get your start or just curious as to how the process works keep on reading.

Photogallery: Nick Steben
If you pay attention to magazines and the daily happenings of BMX pretty closely, there’s a good chance you have heard or saw something about Nick Steben at one point. Maybe you heard of a guy named “C-Beef”. It’s the same guy.
Over the years I’ve crossed paths with him in a handful of different places from Milwaukee to Chicago, Columbus and Pittsburgh. We’ve gone on a trip or two together and statistically it’s bound to happen since Nick travels more than some pro riders with a big travel budget. It’s pretty insane.
Not only is Nick a really talented rider, but he’s also a talented surfer and photographer as well. Over the years he has been able to tie all three passions together and it has lead him to a lot of places around the world.
Recently, Nick sent through a few of his photos he was sitting on that he didn’t have any plans for. I asked if he could compile a bunch of his favorites for a photogallery and he came through with 25 rad photos from the places and people he spent time with recently for you to take a peek at. I know you will enjoy this one…
