Here’s a pretty funny video Dustin Grice put together from Ben Polaschek’s backyard…or… I mean Carrie’s backyard (Benny’s fiancĂ©). Take a tour of the yard, see some pranks, then check out some riding from Ben, QBP‘s Glenn Dussl and Jay Schlie, Haro‘s Colton Walker, a rare Nick Lucas sighting, and Jeff McClearen with his shirt off and riding his crotch rocket in sandals. This is pretty uncut stuff and 10 minutes of a lot of random stuff with riding mixed in, but worth a watch for sure! Minnesota has spots!
Silent Mike – San Diego Remix
The best part about BMX is that you don’t need words to understand it. I’m not sure exactly how silent, Silent Mike is… But I do know he’s a shredder on a BMX bike. Take a look!
“I don’t think I’ll ever fully know how good Silent Mike is at riding bikes simply because I ride with him so sporadically. Needless to say, I’m impressed every time. This remix was a reminder as to how talented he is, as well as putting out a few SD clips that never made it into any CC edits after the HD conversion. I totally forgot all the SD settings, so it may look a little crusty, but the riding speaks for itself. Calm, casual, and in control.

Sneak Peek: Fiend – Palmere Frame

JJ Palmere’s signature frame from Fiend is due out just in time for Christmas this year. Although that’s still 6 months away, they figured they would give you the heads up that it’s coming and release a few of the specs. The frame will come with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.625″ bottom bracket height and a 13.25″ chainstay length (slammed). It will be available in top tube sizes of 20.5″, 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″. That’s all the released on their website, but based on this photo it looks like they’ve got gussets on the top and down tubes, a tapered seat tube, rounded bridges on the stays for added tire clearance, an integrated seat post clamp and removable seat stay mounts.
Expect full details on color options, weight and more features of the frame closer to its release in December 2013.
Donuts
Andy Maguire picked up a new camera… about a year ago. When he first got it he went out and filmed these clips. Then, he kind of forgot he pieced them together and uploaded it onto Vimeo. One year later, today, he sends me the link and wouldn’t you know it? There was a bunch of goodness in this worth checking out the whole time. Hit that play button for some new old clips of the Country Clubbin’ guys!
GoPro – Mike “Rooftop” Escamilla and Dennis McCoy in Munich
Dennis McCoy and Mike “Rooftop” Escamilla are over in Munich, Germany for the X-Games this week. While they had some down time, they went cruising around the city to check out what the place is like with their GoPro‘s. They came across some food and some surfing… yeah, I said surfing… in Germany. Check out this video ESPN BMX dropped giving you a look!
Drew Bezanson and Trick Progression
ESPN BMX caught up with Drew Bezanson to talk a little bit about the X-Games and trick progression. Short and sweet but loaded up with a few rad riding clips!
Etnies – STI Evolution Foam
It looks like Etnies have upgraded their new shoes with this STI Evolution foam which looks like it increases flexibility along with helping to resist heel bruising and more. Find out a little bit about the shoes from Ryan Sheckler (I know, I know… It’s not BMX) the hit this LINK to find out more! There’s even a little Chase Hawk quote in there.
In an unrelated part of this new STI Evolution foam, I came across a sneak peek of Chase DeHart’s signature shoe on the Cult website. Sounds like it’ll be out the 2nd week in June and doesn’t appear to be using the same system above, but should be real good for BMX. This is the Fader model if you want to do some research.

Dylan McLaughlin – Sayanario Edit
Sayanario from Kenny Mayle on Vimeo.
Dylan McLaughlin is leaving the state of Ohio, but before he headed out, he grabbed up a filmer and threw down everything he had always wanted to do. The result is 5 minutes of madness! You can tell he was on a mission, and I’d say he accomplished it.
