Here are some of the photos from the second day of the Dew Tour that I didn’t use over on Dig. These are some of the park prelim photos, and Dirt finals photos. There were quite a few “good” photos that I had to choose from to use for the Dig site, and even more I can use here. So check them out, leave some comments, and hopefully you are into a few of them.
One of my favorite photos from the day was this photo of Rob Darden doing this one hand table. He went down on the first one and it was rough, but his second was better.
There is one difference between these two photos. The second he is dropping off the top into the bank, the first he is coming out of the curved wall into the bank. Garrett Reynolds can do some real good no handers.
I haven’t been able to figure out how Ryan Guettler does this trick. It’s so wild.
Can’t remember who this is.. the photo turned out pretty good though.
Manly invert.
It was super funny watching all the medical people watching everyone ride. They would rush to the guys everytime they fell, even on the smallest crashes. I guess people don’t realize how tough you get from riding bikes.
Chase Dehart pre-hop over.
Darryl Tocco is all over the place these days. Killer rider, killer filmer and editor.
David Grant and Dane Wild. David was super funny all weekend. We witnessed some wild stuff go down outside of a nigh club too. “uh wha! uh wha!” ha, nobody will get that but him.
Steve McCann doing a can?
Superman whip crowd watcher? Morgan Wade is a funny dude.
Mark Webb had some cool stuff, but he didn’t pull this new trick of his everyone was talking about. I can’t remember but it was something to late 360.
Big Daddy Pat Laughlin with an X-Factor Flair. Yeah dude.
Craig Mast with a Flail if you remember Dave Mirra 2 (or was it Mat Hoffman 2?). Front Flip Flair. Lawn Dart. Who knows that the name of that trick is anymore?
Brandon Dosch with a sweet turndown over the hip.
Ryan Nyquist pulling what I believe was a 720 barspin. It might have been a 360 double barspin? I forget.
So this is a little embarassing but basically made the trip to Chicago excellent. I was chillen just looking at a few photos I took in the shade. Chris Doyle comes up and asked me if I was Kurt. I seriously didn’t know what to do haha. It was so awesome meeting one of my favorite riders from the last 10 years I have been riding for. I know that was a major name drop almost but I seriously was so stoked about it. Luckily I contained myself enough to not look like I just won the lottery.
I was so bummed they wouldn’t let me shoot from anywhere besides the designated “media” areas. Kris Marcum from Albes was doing some filming and snuck me up with him during practice. I snapped this photo of Chad Kagy quick, I was stoked on it at least.
Corey Bohan with his dialed 360 table one footers. Is it weird that he is brakeless? or is that just me? I wouldn’t want to be riding massive jumps without brakes.. then again I am a pussy. haha
That’s all the decent ones from day two. Check back probably tomorrow or the next day for the final days photos.
