The first time I had met Chris, it was last fall at the Texas Toast Jam in Austin, Texas. I some how flew out there with a real loose plan on who I would be staying with… One thing lead to another and I’m in some fancy house with a bunch of guys from all over the world and one of them happened to be him. Over the weekend, he was nothing short of laughs and good times and I was definitely a fan of the guy.
Shortly after Texas Toast, MirraCo announced they would be shutting down operations at the start of the year and he was left without a sponsor, but that didn’t last long, because he found himself a home on Colony!
We figured since he built up a fresh bike not too long ago and it was due time to catch up with him, we would do a quick bike check and see what else is new. Let’s see what he had to say!

What’s the newest part on your bike?
My Frame
What’s the oldest part on your bike?
All my Profile Parts, they last forever and run like the day I got them.
What do you usually go through the fastest?
Probably tires or pegs, one bad ledge will go through a peg in 2 grinds.
Do you have to have your bike setup a certain way or it all feels weird? Bars in a certain spot or anything like that?
I have to have tall bars or else I feel too hunched over and i run them a little bit forward for some extra knee room.
Does your setup change much? More pegs, less pegs, brakes, etc. or is it pretty consistent?
It’s been really consistent for a few years now. Even if I’m riding trails I leave the pegs on. It does feel kinda funny though riding trails with four pegs and no brakes.

So you just got picked up by Colony. How did that opportunity all come about?
It all just kinda flowed together really well. Mirraco had dropped their whole team around thanksgiving and I had already been good friends with Cooper and the team so I hit him up to ask if they had room for me. Lucky me they were down to hook me up even though I was on the injured list again for the second time in 2013.
Do you have any trips or anything cool lined up with them yet?
Yea! Cooper, Jack Kelly and Daniel Johnson are out here for a month so I plan on taking some time off of work to go ride with them as much as possible.
How are you feeling the setup they got you dialed in with?
Its awesome! I’m stoked to be on a team that takes care of their riders.
When can we expect to see that welcome edit out of you?
Yea! I’m gonna try and get it done while Coopers out here so you can expect to see it in 2-3 months. I’m gonna take my time on it.

What are your plans for 2014 looking like? Any trips or anything you really want to make happen?
Not sure yet, I got some money saved up and I’m gonna go wherever the wind blows, or wherever the titty fucker strikes again!!! hahaha
How can people keep up with you? Are you on Twitter, Instagram or anything?
Instragram for sure, I don’t really use twitter
@ChrisBracamonte
Has your worldwide man hunt for the titty fucker been accomplished yet or are you still out there looking?
I’m still on the hunt. His trail’s gone cold and I’ve yet to have a lead since I last saw you in Austin. Coincidence? You better hope not
