I had a good feeling when I saw that Chris Doyle was finally going to be making it to a Vans Kill The Line finally!
“02.9.2012 – Peynier, France. US trails legend Chris Doyle ist the winner of VANS Kill the Line
2012. In the counting two out of three perfectly dialed runs he showed what he is famous for:
Classically smooth tricks in the signature Doyle style, among them 360 turndowns and inverts.
The Californian Michael „Hucker“ Clark placed second with his carefree attitude, consistant runs
and big tricks done both ways – being the only rider flipping the stepdown. Last years winner TJ
Ellis (USA) got third pulling loads of flip trick variations especially in the middle of the set. Simon
Moratz from Germany took home the „UNIT Best Trick“ and 1.000 Euro prize money.
More than 6.000 spectators witnessed 16 finalists out of 55 riders competing on the line in the
pine woods with nine jumps. For the fourth consecutive year some of the worlds best dirt riders
came to the legendary Peynier Trails in the South of France and went for an overall prize money of
7.000 Euros – among them the worlds BMX dirt eilte like Anthony Napolitan (USA), Rob Darden
(USA), Kye Forte (UK), Paul Langlands (NZ), Dave Dillewaard (AUS) and many more.
