Over the years, we have seen a number of different styles of freestyle BMX bikes appear from the Sunday Bikes Model C that scaled a 24″ bike to ride and handle the abuse like a 20″, then the guys at Faction introduced 22″ bikes that have definitely started catching on with brands like S&M and United released 22″ complete bikes, frames and aftermarket parts. With a good number of BMX riders getting older, it was only a matter of time before we started seeing some more hybrids and different styles of bikes to start popping up to keep riding comfortable, fun and a little less abusive on the body. Can You Dig It just released a review / insight piece on a new style of BMX bike that combines the 24″ Model C style bike with a 26″ dirt jumper, while still maintaining the look of a BMX bike. There is a company called Commonground that is giving it a go. You can learn all about it right here — Creating a New Category: Commonground Bikes
It’s definitely an interesting look and with the number of riders who also are into downhill and 26″ bikes in general, there’s a good chance you might be itching to ride one of these after you check it out.
