Dan Kruk Bike Check

If Dan Kruk isn’t a name that’s on your radar just yet, I’d suggest you get familiar because based off his latest video for Stolen, he’s been progressing so fast and dropping some serious hammers out on the streets lately. After checking out his latest video, we hit Dan up to see what was new and he mentioned that he was just about to build up a fresh setup thanks to a new shipment of goodies from Madera. We figured that was perfect enough timing to take a closer look at his dialed new unit and find out what else he has going on these days! Let’s take a peek at his bike, then watch that new edit (again) at the bottom of this to see just what I’m talking about!

What’s the newest part on your bike?
I actually just got all new Madera parts 2 days ago, so all of those, haha.

What’s the oldest?
The oldest part would have to be my seat post. It’s the first one Stolen ever gave me.

What do you typically go through the fastest?
I’d say I go through pedals the most. I mean they are made out of plastic!

So you were added to the Stolen Bikes line up not too long ago. How did that opportunity all come about? Do you have any trips or anything cool cooking with them?
Well, it’s kind of funny actually. I went out to California to hang with my friend, Morgan Long, who was riding for Stolen at the time. The second day I was there, my bike was stolen in Huntington Beach. The idea of me being hooked up by them was kind of floating around before I even got to Cali, so when I was left bike-less, Morgan gave Stolen a call and we drove to their building. Stolen gave me a completely brand new bike and a spot on their flow team. I can’t thank them enough. There’s nothing planned as of right now, but I’m always filming things so there may be a new Park edit for them soon!

How are things going with Madera? Any plans for trips or anything like that?
Madera is going great! I’m really stoked to be apart of their team. We are doing a kind of official/unofficial trip to Arizona this April. I can’t wait to be out of this cold ass Midwest weather!

Any other sponsor news you can tell us about?
Cement Face has a bunch of new goods coming out this month!

You had your new Stolen edit drop the other week and it was a serious banger. How long did you film for that one? How stoked were you on the response it got?
Well Grant Castelluzzo and I are always filming when we ride, so there wasn’t an official start date, but I’d say it took about 3 months to get it completely done. I always get stoked to see what people think of it. The coolest feeling in the world is to have your edit get on all of the top BMX websites and the fact that the whole world can view and comment on it is amazing.

Do you have any more videos in the works?
Grant and I are working on a Park edit… but I am not dialed so it is taking a lot longer than I thought, haha.

I know you have been doing a fair amount of traveling since you graduated high school. Where all have you been lately?
I’ve been to a lot of places lately. Louisiana, Tennesse, Colorado, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, West Virginia, North Carolina and a lot more that I can’t remember!

Any plans on getting out of Milwaukee to avoid the Polar Vortex’s any time soon?
Really looking forward to going to Arizona, and after that Id like to get back out to California!

Are you still doing shows or was that just a short term thing?
I was on a month long tour in the fall and if there’s room for me, I might being doing a tour in the spring!

What have you been up to when you aren’t riding these days?
When I’m not riding I’m usually hanging with my girlfriend or eating dinner at Hooters. I’ve been looking for a new job lately and will be starting a new one real soon.

What’s the last song you heard and movie you watched?
Last song I heard was Fuckin’ Problems by Asap Rocky. The last movie I watched was Last Vegas with Morgan Freeman. Super funny!

I know you’re on all that social media stuff. How can people keep up with you these days?
You can Follow me on Twitter and Instagram!

Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
Thanks to Stolen and Madera for keeping me on a dialed bike. Shout out to Morgan Long, Mike Hinkens, Grant Castelluzzo, Dan Sieg, Neal at 4 Seasons, Pusher BMX in Colorado, All of my friends, and Kurt for this bike check!

Anything else you want to say?
Keep BMX fun!
