Here’s one we got a look at back at Interbike 2016. The new Storm fork from Eclat is a fork that they are pushing as their strongest fork available. This fork is made from full-liquid post-weld heat-treated seamless 4130 chromoly with a fully CNC machined, one-piece, 170mm steerer tube with an integrated crown race, fully CNC machined legs that are mechanically formed and heat-treated, CNC machined and laser cut 5mm thick dropouts with 25mm and 30mm offset options. This fork is also comes with 7075-T6 alloy compression cap (M24 thread) to keep everything tight.

The Storm fork from Eclat comes in colors of black and chrome plated, 25mm and 30mm offsets and weighs in at 35.8 oz. (30mm). You can also find a lifetime guarantee against manufacture defects on this fork to help sweeten the deal even more.

Here are a few words from Eclat explaining why this makes it their strongest fork ever.

This is a big one for us, and a product that we couldn’t be more excited to see these finally hit shops very soon. Introducing our new Storm Fork, the end result of over 2 years of extensive R&D into how we can make the strongest BMX fork possible. After years of work, and countless hours of laboratory and real life rider testing with the PRO team, we have reached a new benchmark in BMX fork strength.

Don’t let the Storm fork’s subtle appearance deceive you, this fork is a well-calculated balance of tubing thickness, material specification and our own heat-treatment process, ensuring that it can hold up to more abuse than any fork before it. Despite the huge increase of strength in this fork, we used a clean and simplistic design which keeps the weight down, making it much lighter than you would expect.

The Storm fork was a chance for us to really spend a lot of time looking into the welding process. We experimented with different welding rods to find out how we could ensure the strongest possible welds, since that’s one of the most critical areas on a fork.

We’ll be giving you more insight into the design process and showing the testing that went into the fork very soon to show just how strong this thing is, but until then take a closer look at the new pride and joy of the 2017 eclat product line.”

CNC machined and mechanically formed legs with plenty of clearance for 2.40″ tires.
