Catfish has a laser at all times.
Have you ever had one of those weekends that was so good that it is a blur? Not because you were hammered, but because you were having such a good time that time flew faster and faster. That basically sums up what Baco in Milwaukee was this weekend. I’ve learned that the key to remembering everything is to have a camera ready for any situation. I think I took over 400 pictures this past weekend and every one has a caption that comes to mind. I already posted a few things and photos about the Park/Street Jam and the Bowl Jam over on the Dig website. You should check that out, too. Check out a few more photos after the jump!
I used this on the Dig site already, but it’s too good. I had the chance to party with Jon Wells from Sun Ringle for the first time this weekend. Let me tell you, this guy is awesome. Whether it was making bouncers pissed at bars or throwing cash money around like it was nothing, Jon was on it. Stoked.
This photo was an accident. Kevin came flying by and I snapped the shot quick. That’s why it’s kind of blurry. Here are a few more of Kevin…
Reed Stark is seriously on it. He is 5 years old, 7 feet tall, drinks a lot of beer and can blast turndowns. Jim C made a good choice.
Nick Steben A.K.A C-Beef A.K.A Traveling Man told me he was going to be in town. I was stoked for that and he came through with a few good moves on his bike. I’m pretty sure we made a lot of girls uncomfortably wet this weekend.
Mark and Mike Potoczny were in town. Mark shredded so hard that his elbow blew out. Like, I have a photo I’ll post later down this thing that will gross you out. Mike is his brother who is rad as hell as well. Stoked when those guys come around.
Here are just a few other random photos I took from the bowl jam that were decent but I decided not to use for my post on the Dig site for one reason or another.
Jamie Spritzer told me earlier in the day that he had this fuf to nose pick to over from the bowl into the mini planned. It was something on his life list to do. He gave it a few go’s then committed. The commitment was there, not the distance. Jamie woke up on the flat bottom of the mini and his iPod and face can show the aftermath. Jamie didn’t go to the hospital and stayed and partied all weekend. Stoked to meet him!
What would Baco be without Tony Mortenson? This photo is hilarious. Friday and Saturday nights consisted of BMX parties at a few different bars. This fight broke out and a broom got left on the floor along with some shattered glass.
Said fight above was broken up by this guy. If you were able to witness this guy carry two bros (dude’s who definitely didn’t ride) out by their throats for slapping at each other, you witnessed amazing things. I needed a photo with him.
Photo: Greg Dickson!
Over the course of the weekend I lost my voice. When I say I lost my voice, I think I left it at the party the first night. I spent all of Saturday trying to figure out ways to communicate with people. I decided saving phrases to my phone was the best way to do this. I found women really find mute’s quite attractive.
The second night Red Bull had a party with free beer. I saw more people double fisting drinks than anywhere I’ve ever seen alcohol being consumed. The keg ran out real quick…
There were more lasers in Milwaukee this weekend than I can count. Catfish was constantly on it, along with Jeff K, Maddog and about 30 other people.
This is a hell of a scene. Check out Nick Anderson and his mustache! Epic.
I promised Eric Holley and C-Beef this photo would see the light of day. I’m sure the girl will either be pissed or not care at all. I may or may not have motor boated her the night before.
This is Mark Potoczny’s elbow I told you about. There was definitely a hole and tissue gushing out of that. So gross but awesome.
More Kevin Porter goodness.
This dude was so good. I spent the weekend trying to figure out who he was. I never did find out. Eitherway, he was going for this whip gap and kept wrecking heavily. It was insane, but he did end up getting close with a pedal blow off.
Mykel won Baco. He’s got some hot moves. I was stoked on this 360.
I didn’t use this due to the late shot on the extension. Little Jon is the only dude who can make the ceilings at 4Seasons look low.
Koji Kraft getting Dew Tour sick. Koji has some real good skills.
Little Jon went for this gap from the vert wall to the quarter on the right side a couple times. He never did it, but seriously… This is nuts.
Brandon Dosch got second, yet I didn’t really get any good shots of him. I was mainly on a mission to get his turndowns. You will understand later when I get another project done.
Ryan Wert is a nut. You saw the ninja drop he did that I posted on Dig right?
Backflip Billy does lots of backflip tricks.
Garrett Ginch was in the house. He didn’t actually ride in the contest, but he did ride during it. I’m pretty sure he won the whole thing but that’s just what I heard from some kid on a scooter.
So that’s why Baco was such a blur. There was a lot of riding bikes, there were a lot of parties. Most importantly, there was a lot of good times and memories that came from this. I’d like to thank Catfish and Micah for the good times, Jeff D for finding me when I was lost, Gregory Dickson for funny photos, Reed Stark for going high and EVERYONE who came out to the contest. Until next time…
