It’s that time of the year again for the annual Frostbike show at QBP up in Bloomington, Minnesota. We made our way up the icy, bumpy highway that was covered from the snow storm earlier last week to take a closer look at what was going on in the QBMX section.
Next up, we caught up with Matt Coplon (and QBP’s Bernie!) to check out some of the fresh items that Profile Racing is cooking on! Let’s take a look!
Edit: Here’s a better photo of the Elite hub!
Profile’s Elite hub is currently being tested to provide 2 new options… One being a male 14mm axle which will be more ideal for the street riders out there who want to run pegs on this hub… and 2 being that it will also be available in left side drive to make it even more street friendly for those of you who grind on the right. They are also working on some hub guards for the hub as well. If you want to sound like a swarm of bees riding street, this will be what you want when it’s out. We’re working on getting a feature together giving you an in-depth look that will provide much better photos… I promise!
Not sure if you want to run spline drive or if you want to have cranks without the 19mm / 22mm, 48-spline spindle? Well, this gives you options.
Alright, here’s an awesome story. Over the years, Profile has offered different wrapped color ways similar to the camo and water camo, and now this sample of the Wing P logo wrap (this is a low-res sample, the graphics will be more detailed on the final version)… But over the course of the past 5 years or so, they have gone through 3 different places that have been able to do this application of color and each have ultimately closed their doors. They recently found a new guy who can do the process for a good price, so they’re going to give it a shot again. Commence some crazy color ways like these!
Gold is looking good!
Shiny MTB hubs.
Totem hub in the red and Elite in the blue!
The new limited edition flat military green colorway that is OUT NOW.
Red, white and blue hubs! AMERICA! These will MAYBE be out in July. Fingers crossed.
So that wraps up what Profile Racing had on display at Frostbike. Have your local shop here in the U.S get ahold of QBMX to get you what’s currently available ordered up or start saving for some of these new items that aren’t out yet. You can also pick this up on Dan’s Comp or you can have your local shop hit up Profile Racing direct to get your hands on some of this!
