Next up we have the Performer Pro 26″ bike that we can tell you was Ben Ward’s special project for the 2017 range of bikes. This bike is designed and spec’d to match the old Performer bikes, more specifically the 1986 bike, but with 26″ wheels, bigger frame and a few upgrades where it was needed. Below you can find the 1986 version and then the 2017 version below…
Performer Pro 26″
– Colors: Blue and White
– 100% chromoly frame, fork and handlebar
– 1986 Performer Design
– GT Power Series alloy 3-piece Cranks
They brought back the Power Series cranks for this one.
Retro style graphics
They decided to go with spoked wheels versus mags for this bike just because Mag wheels might look sweet, but they ride awful, so they decided to put some sweet hubs on there and make it shine.
Retro style seat stay to match.
Overall, we loved this bike. It had some differences from the original, but still had a lot of similarities to the original and proper upgrades. We’ve never ran a 26″ bike, but this definitely made us want one… Bad!
