How Mark Webb Came Back From A Career Ending Injury

I think the title is a little more dramatic than it actually is because ACL surgery is one of the most common surgeries BMX riders get, but at the same time it can take people off their bikes forever if they don’t try and get back on it. This video documents everything from before his surgery to going under the knife and rehabilitation. It sounds like he’s almost going to get the all clear so he can come back and destroy some ramps again! Can’t wait!

Mark Webb may be one of the best bmx riders in the world, but he isn’t superhuman and every time he rides he risks getting injured. Years of hard riding wore down Mark’s left ACL. He continued to ride on it but eventually had to get surgery in september 2013. It’s been a tough process but Mark is now in the road to recovery. Here’s the inspiring story of how one man rebuilt his body and mind after injury threatened to derail his career. A film directed by JC Pieri
