If you ride enough, especially with plastic pedals, eventually BMX pedals will wear out and you’ll need to switch them out for a new set. It’s a pretty basic part to change, but it can be a bit of a struggle, especially if you’re turning your wrench or allen key the wrong way. Here’s a video Brant Moore put together showing you how to remove BMX pedals and then he show how to install BMX pedals on your bike. This covers what tools you need, and the trick to which direction you need to be turning the wrench since it is a little backwards for one of the pedals. One thing I don’t believe Brant mentioned, but it’s definitely a good idea to put just a little grease, or better yet some Loctite, on the pedal spindle to keep them from rusting or seizing on your crank arms because that will make it extra difficult when it comes time to remove the pedals. But, grease can also make it easier for your pedals to come loose, so it’s kind of a toss up on how good that is. Hit play and take it all in.

How to remove and install bicycle/bmx pedals told in 3 minutes or less!
Let me know what you guys think of this new concept for a video series! I know a lot of my videos are extremely long and in depth, which can be too much or annoying to some. So I had the idea to make a series for BMX tips, but told in 3 minutes or less!
