Insight: Incase – DSLR Pro Camera Bag

April 15, 2015

There’s a lot of photographers and filmers in BMX these days and a good camera bag is never a bad investment when it comes to hauling all your gear around. We recently got our hands on a DSLR Pro camera bag from our friends at Incase and we’re really psyched on it since our old Canon bag just wasn’t cutting it anymore. This bag has a lot of features and a super clean look, so we figured it would be a good idea to take a closer look and talk about just what makes this bag so good. Ready? Let’s do this.

Looks a little empty with our body and 18-135mm out of it…

Let’s start out with the specs and info. This DSLR bag is made from durable 840D nylon and measures in a 20″ tall, 12″ wide and 9″ deep with a large main compartment with a soft padded inside that has 8 adjustable dividers included with the bag so you can customize your setup any way you would like to fit your cameras, lens, flashes, etc. and compartments on cover that gives you room for small pieces like loose batteries, flash drives, lens cleaning pens, cables, etc. In the secondary front compartment, there is plenty of room for a 15″ Macbook Pro, tablet, cell phone and really any small bits and pieces line pens, keys or anything else you might like to keep in your bag while on the move. There’s a few additional pockets all around the bag, an easy access top with a zipper that allows you to get into the top of the main compartment to get to your camera without having to open the entire bag, tripod straps along the side, a padded and mesh back panel for comfort, padded and mesh straps that are adjustable and a chest strap that is also adjustable.

There are three side pockets on the inside of the main compartment for small pieces like your loose batteries, cables, memory cards, flash drives, lens cleaning pen, etc.

The front compartment offers a lot of room with a sleeve to fit a 15″ Macbook Pro easily, a second sleeve for a tablet, cell phone, pens and really any other small things you might need to carry along with you during a photo or filming mission.

The bag is made from durable 840D nylon that will resist the wear and tear from hauling your gear around and keep things dry if you catch some sprinkles while dodging clouds. The bag is also very clean and simple without a lot of flash which will keep it looking like a regular backpack to keep camera thieves from knowing what’s inside, which is always important. The front of the bag also features a smaller padded pocket and then a sleeve below that so you can fit even more into it! There’s a small Incase logo so the branding is pretty limited as well.

The back of the bag features soft padding and a breathable mesh for comfort. You can also find plenty of padding and the mesh on the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps and chest strap are adjustable so you can get it set to your comfort level.

There are two tripod straps on the side so you don’t have to be carrying your tripod around while you’re riding spot to spot which is always nice!

Overall, if you’re looking for a DSLR bag for all your gear that has plenty of room, we would definitely suggest the Incase DSLR Pro bag as a good option that will get the job done. We have all our gear loaded up for a trip this weekend and we’re trying to come up with more things just to fill all the compartments, haha.

The DSLR Pro Bag comes in black only and is available for $149.95 in the INCASE WEBSTORE. You can also find more photos and information on the bag as well.
