If you haven’t been paying attention to Wethepeople or Eclat the past few months there’s a good chance you have missed some of the hints of their new products they have coming. Once I got to their booth I quickly realized they have A LOT of new products in the works that will be becoming available real soon. I guess I better just get into this huh?
The Clash frame is the new addition to the line up. This is a lower end frame that’s designed for riders who want to move up from their frame from their complete bike but aren’t quite ready to drop that $400 on a real nice frame.
There wasn’t much changed with the existing frames in the line except for a slight change in the tubing that the removable mounts run on. They’ve added a little more material which eliminates the need for brazed on mounts. Here’s a look at it right below.
There’s just a thicker line along the bottom of the tube where the mounts go.
Maxime Charveron’s signature frame The Dawn is also a new addition to the line up. This frame is due out here soon and looks sooooo good.
The new Polar and Jaw rims look real good. The Polar comes in two versions with regular and aero designs. The Jaw has small cut outs along the wall of the rim which helps save weight.
The Wethepeople stem’s are looking clean. I’m digging that new gun metal grey color.
Here are there new fat seats. They’ve added a bit of a lip towards the back for ergonomics which was a nice touch.
Mind blanking here. These are the two new grips from Wethepeople. The top is the Raptor and I’m blanking on the second. Both of these grips can also be found on a lot of their 2013 completes.
These grips are designed to have two flanges for options. You have the tall flange or the low flange. You can cut off the end you don’t want to use or run it, it’s up to you.

Nathan Williams’ signature stem.
The new Dynamic front hub is designed to have the flanges closer together leaving more room between your fork, pegs and spokes. This way you don’t “have” to run a hub guard unless you want to. They’ve also got a Dynamic cassette hub in the works as well.
They’ve kept the forks the same but added a new threading system. This way you are only turning the cap 3 times versus doing a lot more turns like normal.
No big changes to their cranks or brakes.
Their sprockets have a little extra machining to help save a little unnecessary weight.
Ah, the elusive Blind freecoaster everyone is wondering about. I didn’t have a chance to really dig too deep into how the internals work, but we’ve got an interview that will explain more coming in the next few weeks with the product designer, Richard that will explain it a lot better. These hubs are in production now and should be available soon!
Here’s a look at their new half-link chain that’s in the works. I’m blanking at the moment on the specs but it should be out in the next few months as well.
Seats on seats along with Darryl Tocco’s new signature seat. Really digging the patch on that thing.
Nathan Williams’ signature peg. This peg has a chromoly insert in the core of the plastic giving you a strong, lightweight option that slides really well.
Here’s a look at the two new hub guards they have in the works. These plastic guards have metal inserts embedded into the plastic. They are still testing these out, but they will go real well with Nathan’s pegs when they do come out that’s for sure.
The new alloy cranks they are working on. These don’t use pinch bolts because where the 48 spline 22mm axle meets the arm they’ve got a steel insert that is bonded to the alloy which prevents it from the alloy and steel spline twisting apart. These are a little bigger than most cranks but look strong as hell. They’ve been beating on these for a few weeks now and testing is going well so far.
The new hydroformed fork they just got a sample of. Literally, they got these as they got to the show yesterday. The legs are all one piece all the way down to the bottom of the drop outs where they cap the bottom otherwise the legs and drop outs are all hydroformed as one solid piece that’s connected to a one piece steerer tube. These haven’t even been tested yet, but they are looking real promising.
There’s a few different versions of the all in one tool and they are all effective. Here’s their version which is pretty simple. It’s got everything you need in this small package from sockets to allen keys to a spoke and pedal wrench. You can literally fix everything on your bike with this.
Samples of the new Ridgestone tires. This will come in two tread versions. A smoother one and then a more aggressive design. These are still a ways out from production but look good to me.
The 2013 complete bikes from Wethepeople are looking so good. They’ve got bikes for the small kids, the entry level all the way up to the guys looking for a completely decked out bike. I really like how good everything looks. They’ve got Salt components on all the lower level bikes and then Eclat parts on the higher level bikes. So good. These bikes will all be out in the next week or two too!
If you are looking for a cruiser / bar hopper this is for you. 26″ wheels and everything makes it for a good bike to cruise with. Really into this one.
So that wraps up the Wethepeople and Eclat booth. Apologies since it’s a big mess of photos together but they had soooo much to show it was hard not to put it all together. I’m really into some of the new products they have out now and their complete bikes. Can’t wait to see how that Blind freecoaster works too.
