It’s always a bummer when a local spot whether it’s a park, set of trails or even a street spot get shut down. Jacob Hager‘s local park, the Landslide Skatepark, recently closed its doors, so he decided to put together this video as a tribute to the park that was much more than just a building with ramps in it. Jacob lays down some real solid riding in this one, and it’s a bummer because this place looks like it was a ton of fun to ride.

I’ve always said “I don’t know what I would do without this place”, never did I expect to have to answer that question. “This place was our home” is such an understatement. Landslide was our lives, our passion, our outlet. It’s not the loss of the physical skatepark that weighs on us, it’s the loss of the faces we got to see on a regular basis, the loss of our future “good times”, the loss of the potential smiles, laughter, and stoke. This place has made myself and many others who we are today. I am grateful for everything this place has given to me, and grateful for everyone who made it what it was. The skatepark may be gone, but the memories will last forever. This is not the end, just a new beginning, love you all!” – Jacob Hanger
