Position Summary:
The Media & Marketing Coordinator will work with both the sales and creative teams and will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and reporting on all marketing efforts on a day-to-day basis.
Potential candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have an in-depth understanding of, but not limited to: BMX culture, public relations, online marketing, traditional marketing, social networking, and video sharing sites.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Create and maintain an up-to-date marketing plan that promotes brand awareness and sales growth
• Identify, manage and monitor the most relevant social media channels
• Establish relationships with the online community by identifying key influencers and communities
• Raise brand awareness and protect brand equity by executing social marketing campaigns using the most appropriate media channels
• Establish consistent engagement with customers as well as our fans to support our brands
• Create and distribute newsletters, press releases, product releases and video releases across all relevant media channels
• Maintaining and updating all social media pages and website content
• Create and maintain strong relationships with media and advertising outlets
• Maintaining and optimizing marketing budgets
• Develop and coordinate new and innovative marketing initiatives
• Studying and reporting on market trends and competition
• Track, analyze and report on campaign success, fan grown, web traffic, etc.
• Identify important event sponsorship and promotional opportunities
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
• Attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work well under the pressures of deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment
• Ability to learn new skills and innovative techniques independently
• Strong understanding of different market segments (ex. B2B and B2C)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• High proficiency in relevant social media and content platforms such as: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Issuu, Snapchat, MailChimp and WordPress
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps software
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Bridge and Illustrator preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
