Jordan Stump Bike Check

In the past year or so, we’ve been seeing Jordan’s name popping up more and more through different videos that surfaced online between The Daily Grind‘s edits to his parts in the Word videos. It seems like in the past few months, it’s been more and more frequently and it’s definitely a good thing because Jordan kills it on the streets! We caught wind that he just got on the flow team for Mankind and just built himself up a brand new setup! We figured there’s no way we could pass up a fresh new bike and get a chance to find out a little bit more about this dude, so we caught up with him for a brand new bike check! What’s the newest part on your bike?
The entire bike other than bars and tires.

What’s the oldest?
Handlebars

What do you usually go through the fastest?
I usually put a new chain on more than anything else. Just like the feel of a fresh chain.

Do you have to have your bike a certain way or it all feels wrong? Bars in a certain spot for example?
Nothing super specific. I do run my bars a little forward but nothing too crazy. Usually try to have my rear wheel slammed.

Does your setup change ever? Change up the number of pegs, brakes, seat post height or are you pretty consistent on how you like your bike?
I’m pretty consistent with how my bike is setup. I’ve rode a fourth peg maybe twice, I just can’t do it. Haha

You just got picked up for Mankind’s flow squad. How did that opportunity come about? Do you have any trips or anything cool planned with them?
Rob Diquattro actually hit me up about it and asked if I would be interested. I was super psyched when given the opportunity to do something with them. As of right now I don’t have much planned other than a trip to Texas next month.

How are things going with The Daily Grind? I know Gremlin is always working on getting you guys on a trip. Anything in the works for 2014 you’re stoked for?
They are going good. All those guys aren’t too far away so we get to meet up and ride every now and then. They’re always out riding and filming so I would expect to see a lot especially when the weather gets better.

I know your part from the Word 4 video just surfaced online the other day. Is there any plans for a Word 5? Are you filming at all for it yet?
We are actually filming for WORD5 now. All of our schedules don’t always match up making it a little harder to film. Plus the weather has been crap for quiet a while now. Hopefully we will have it done after summer/fall.

Do you have any other videos in the works? A welcome edit to Mankind video or anything?
Right now nothing just due to the weather being so crappy.

What have you been up to when you aren’t riding these days? What do you do for work?
I work full-time at Mercedes-Benz as a Roadside assistance mechanic. I’m on call one week a month for 24 hours a day. It sucks at times but it’s a good job until I get back into school.

What’s the last song you heard and movie you watched?
Three Six Mafia – M.E.M.P.H.I.S on the way to work. I haven’t watched any movies lately but my roommate has got me hooked on True Detectives and other HBO shows, haha.

Are you on Twitter, Instagram or any of that social media stuff? How can people keep up with you these days?
I do have an Instagram @stumpgrinding

Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
Just want to give a big thanks to everyone who has helped me out and gave me this opportunity. Mankind, DailyGrind, Rob D, and my dudes KID and Phil.
