Krists Kanuks lived the Barcelona life for this BMX video!

There’s no shortage of talented riders coming and going from Barcelona, and a lot of riders call it their home base these days. Krists Kanuks decided to give it a go and spent 8 months in the city. While he was there, his ultimate goal was to film a video. Although things didn’t really get rolling until he was about to head back home, he still managed to bang out this 4 minute edit loaded with dialed riding from the city. Hit play and check out what he cooked up!

I moved to Barcelona for 8 months to get a glimpse of ‘BMX dream life’ and to film my first street part. I didn’t have my own camera so it wasn’t so easy to do it. As it happens in BCN – you meet new people everyday, I was lucky to meet Giacomo and Samyo. I told them about my idea to film a video and they were down to help me get it done.
Fast forward – I had 2 weeks left in Barcelona and until then we had filmed only 4 clips. So we had 14 days to finish filming the video but Giacomo had to go to job at 12PM almost everyday of those 14 days. Therefore we only had mornings left so we tried to get best out of them. It was something new to me as I have never been a morning rider before.
7AM waking up, 9AM metro station/pedalling to the spots, 11:30AM going home – that was my morning schedule for those two weeks. A bunch of clips were filmed just minutes before Giacomo had to be at work.
Night before video was out we were still editing the video, we still didn’t had a name for it. Giacomo asked me : “How we should name the video ?” and I didn’t have even a single idea for it. He asked : “The Last Minute ?”. At that moment I realized that there is no better words how to describe all of the process around this video.
So we called it ‘THE LAST MINUTE’.

Huge THANK YOU to Giacomo and Samyo for waking up early and dedicating mornings to me so I can finish my first video project !”
