Now, going into this you’re probably wondering why we’re posting this. It’s actually a BMX related story. Back in July, BMX lost David Rodebaugh, a BMX rider from Ohio who lived in New York and was in an accident that left him brain-dead. After his family made the final call, they donated his face to a firefighter named Patrick Hardison who was severely burned years before during a call to a burning home. The New York Times released this video and the incredible story about the transplant and how it all came to be. It’s pretty crazy to see what medical advances have come to. Take a look if this sort of thing interests you. The full story can be viewed right here.
