There’s no denying that Mat Hoffman has done some crazy things on his bike, but it turns out he’s also not scared to send it when it comes to things like surgery, too!
There’s no denying that Mat Hoffman is an absolute BADASS. Even though you have probably heard plenty of stories about Mat, I’m sure some of you have never heard the story of the experimental ACL surgery he did WITHOUT anesthesia that he actually helped do the work on. Here’s a video that Taj Mihelich illustrated to go along with Mat telling the story… Even the drawings will make you a little queasy if you aren’t good with pretty graphic stories, haha. Needless to say, this is just one of MANY reasons why Mat is a legend in and outside of BMX! The real question is… Are there that many people out there that would actually go through what Mat did to make something like this happen?
