2020 has been one incredibly weird year for the world, and BMX as a whole. We’ve seen incredible demand for BMX bikes, frames and parts, but we’ve also seen a handful of shops and brands make the decision to close their doors. Earlier this year FBM closed its doors after 18 years, and now today Mutiny Bikes have announced that they made the decision to close after 22 years. The past few years have been pretty tough in general for BMX brands / shops, and we’ve seen a number of brands change up the way many do things and shift their budgets to keep things going. We noticed Mutiny had been quieter than usual the past year or so, which is why this news isn’t something we didn’t suspect might be happening. It’s definitely a bummer to hear and we with Gaz and everyone else involved with the brand the best of luck in the future! BMX definitely lost a good one today.
