Leon Perkins is back and crushing it!
After a few year hiatus due to life taking over, Leon Perkins had a few opportunities come through that gave him the time to get back on the bike. Well, it sure doesn’t look like he missed a day because he’s still crushing it just as hard as he used to!
“Back in 2019 I took a step away from riding bmx, with a growing family and responsibilities adding up I couldn’t ride the way I enjoyed riding, riding to my best ability and pushing myself.
Over the next few years I suffered with depression, only touching my bike a handful of times.
At the start of 2023 I was asked to work at junction 4 skatepark as a coach, whilst also working along side British cycling as a tutor, judge and also piloting their new coaching courses and freestyle bmx clubs.
Back on the bike, I find myself getting more confident as the time goes on so I set myself 12 months to film an edit, times up! I wanted to get 15 more clips but ran out of time and I have an injury so here it is.

“In the Eye of the Beholder — Perceptions with Dan Dellorso and Ryan Torrance — Profile Bmx
The idea of Perceptions is to bring two of our riders together who’s style, as well as choice and interpretation of spots, are very different.
We thought Dan and Ryan were good candidates, as, even though they often ride together, their eyes are never the same.
Perceptions was filmed over 4 days; the goal was to sprinkle in some of their staple spots mixed in with some news locales to see what both Dan and Ryan would come up with on each.

Justin Kosman sits down for an interview on the Kanode Knows Podcast!
It’s that time of the week for a fresh episode of the Kanode Knows Podcast from Bobby Kanode! This week he sits down with Justin Kosman to talk about Justin’s work from photography to videos and even gets into the business side of things which people looking to get into that type of work will enjoy. Justin has done a TON of work inside of BMX and outside, and you probably have seen something he produced over the years. Plenty of great stories in this one. Kind of funny, I almost died when Justin took me surfing once years ago, haha. Either way, check this out!
“Last year we recorded an episode with the one and only Justin Kosman but he surprisingly had internet from 1997 and it didn’t work out. I was struggling to get an episode scheduled this weekend with Mother’s Day and reached out to Kosman as a hail mary and he was down! I’ve been looking up to this man and his ability to make money with his photography and videography for a long time. In fact when I was in business school, one of my assignments was to find a mentor in the industry I wanted to work in and Kosman accepted the job. I never did much with it but if I ever had questions he was super helpful to answer. So this episode feels a little bit like I’m sharing a session with my mentor to the internet.
