How To Build a 36-Hole BMX Wheel

November 24, 2016

Dan Foley coming through with a new How To video for you. This time around he gives you a run through out how to build a 36-hole BMX wheel. 36-Spoke wheels have become the industry standard, so unless you’re running some burly Bone Deth wheels, you most likely have a 36-spoke setup. Hit play to let Dan teach you everything from how to drop the spokes in, what the 3-cross pattern looks like and then how to true the wheel in. Hit play and take it all in! Great tutorial.

Curious what size spokes you need? Check out this BMX Spoke Calculator

Need tools?

“Lacing a wheel isn’t as hard as you may think. Building the wheels that’ll roll underneath you for months to come is a rewarding feeling to say the least. Learn in less than 7 minutes, then lace your next pair yourself.

This is how to build a 36 spoke, 3 cross wheel. The parts of the wheel are a Madera Pilot V2 front hub, a Cult Match rim, and Animal spokes/nipples.

Madera – Mike Hinkens “10 Year Mixtape” Section

November 24, 2016

The crew over at Madera have released Mike Hinkens section from their “10 Year Mixtape” online for your viewing pleasure. As always, Mike brings a lot of grinds and unique lines on some real good spots. Mike has a super good eye for street spots and this is a good reminder of that. Take a peek!

“The beginning of 2016 marked 10 years of existence for Madera. From three simple products to a full line of parts, we have grown thanks to two things: the people who have supported us and the riders who represent us. So, to celebrate 10 years of American-made BMX parts, 10 years of riding and traveling, and 10 years of great times, we think it’s fitting to showcase the riders who keep us going in a video made for the people who have kept us going. The team, some old and some new, have worked hard for the last 9 months to do what they do best and share it with all of you who have supported us in the past, continue to support us now, or may support us in the future. Check out what makes us tick, what we are proud to share, and what we hope gets you stoked. Thanks for all of your support and here’s to another 10 years!

As you already know, Jordan is an absolute beast on the streets and this video does not disappoint! If you like grinds and nose balance, you can’t pass this up. Check it!

“So I took a month out of work as an electrician and headed to Barcelona to meet some friends and to see if I can still ride my bike!

It was amazing to finally have some time to chill out and just ride my bike for fun!

This trip was by far the best trip I’ve ever been on! I want to thank Archie Kenward and Theo Dorman for letting me crash at theirs, filming and letting me be apart of their trip.

This video was the first proper BMX video I’ve edited my self. I didn’t intend on making a proper edit, these are pretty much just some jibs I filmed on my phone.

I apologise in advance for the intro but I am a tradesmen and not an athlete.
