Jason Phelan – BMX Adventures: Abandoned Ghost Village
Jason Phelan taking a unique approach to the Webisode for these BMX Adventures videos. Here’s his latest from a little road trip he took to an old abandoned building in Scotland that he managed to sneak into and ride without getting caught. This place looks pretty sketchy, but it appears that the long drive was worthwhile. Also, Jason’s sub-titles for this video are hilarious, haha.
“I decided to go on a solo missing and check out an Abandoned ghost village and ride some rails on the Rest and be thankful for another BMX Adventure.
I never done anything like this and it was an amazing experience travelling and exploring spots on my own.
My first spot was a hand rail at the top of the rest and be tankful at 9am in the morning. I then moved on quickly to to a bridge spot and then continued my journey to the abandoned ghost village Pollphail. It was pretty scary going through the village on my own and the flatbank spot on the roof was super sketchy and pretty unstable with a death drop beneath if it was to break. There was also no phone signal so all aspects of sketchyness were in play which I love haha.
This is what an adventure is all about. Here I bring you my second BMX Adventure ep2”
Frayed Magazine X Matty Lambert
The other week Frayed Magazine announced their Issue 7 that focuses on a few different photographers. Today, we get a video giving us some insight into Matty Lambert‘s photo and film work, how it all started, why he prefers film over digital when it comes to photos and more. There’s also some Ben Lewis riding footage mixed throughout as well. Can’t go wrong with hitting play on this BMX video.
“Matty Lambert, a film portrait.
We spent a day with filmmaker and film photographer Matty Lambert in his hometown of Liverpool while he documented a day in the city and met up with BMX rider Ben Lewis.
We sat down with him and got an insight into how he got into photography, what his progression has been like, why he shoots film and his thoughts on photography.
