Cody Bowers – “Santa Barbarians – The Quest for the Holy Rail” Section

DIG have begun uploading sections from Alex Raban‘s DVD “Santa Barbarias – The Quest for the Holy Rail” that came out about a few years back. To kick the party off, they have uploaded Cody Bowers‘ section which is a good reminder of just how under rated he really is, considering he can throw down on everything from street to skateparks and trails!

Northern Embassy X Joyride 150 – Canadian Street Invitational Highlights

Huge shout out to the Northern Embassy for always putting in work on throwing events up in Canada. They recently teamed up with Joyride 150 to do an invitational style contest on the bike parks street section, with some of Canada’s heaviest of hitters. Above is a BMX video packed full of highlights from the contest. You better believe things got wild!

“Last Saturday January 9th, the first annual Joyride 150 X Northern Embassy Canadian Street Invitational was held.
The idea was simple, invite 10 amazing Canadian pros who live in the Ontario/Quebec area and watch them destroy the street room of Joyride 150. We although thought it could be awesome to host an Expert jam before the pros where each pro team would choose one expert.
The experts killed it and two were chosen: Cole Ramseyer and Austin Karker.

Both teams went off but team 1 would be named the champs. The overall vibe/atmosphere of the contest (if you even want to call it that) was amazing. Non competitive, just people stoked to be riding together and chilling together, which is the best. 2017’s will be bigger and better, start planning to come out to next years!
We can’t thank Joyride 150 enough for allowing this event to happen there. If not for Joyride’s expansion and creation of the street room years ago, many Ontario riders would suffer all winter having no real indoor spot to go to. Also thanks to Joyride for whipping up a new rail for the contest. Huge thanks to MC Prashant and Paul Hoerdt, filmers Chris Cadot, Joel Fortin and Mason Gray, all the riders who came out (especially Mike Gray/ Dilllon Lloyd for delaying their trips back to Cali for this event). Last but not least, a huge thanks to all of the sponsors: Haro, WTP, Vans, Eclat, Radio, The Boiler Room, Merritt, Fiend, Federal!

How a BMX Fork Leg Is Made

It would appear that Chris Moeller caught everyones requests to see more of how BMX products are made. The other day he posted up a clip of how knurling is added to handlebars, now today we get a look at how they bend the tubing for an S&M Bikes or Fit Bike Co. fork. It seems pretty simple, but it’s still pretty interesting to see since we don’t always get to see the production side of BMX. We want MORE!!!

The MPEG Crew coming through with a new promo for their ABD Wax that’s out now! Harry Main Off Monster Energy

Welp. It looks like the Harry Main sponsor changes weren’t quite done yet. Today he announced that he has parted ways with Monster Energy after seven years. No word on why or if Harry has something else lined up, but I’d be willing to bet that was a noticeable pay check to lose.

Scotty Cranmer – Jumping My GTR

We’re not too sure what’s so fascinating about jumping over a car is, but we remember parking an old rusty Ford Fiesta between a double and thinking it was a really good time jumping that. Scotty Cranmer and Cory Berglar decided to catch a little session on a loading dock before Scotty decided to tailwhip over his GTR to flat, which looks like a slightly painful, but good time to us! Take a look!

“So @CORYBERGLAR and myself, head out in my GT-R to find some street to ride around our area. We found an awesome loading dock set up and I made Cory try a tailwhip off for his first trick of the day! We both crashed a couple times but we also landed some stuff as well! Right before it started raining I decided to try and tailwhip my GT-R! I landed it first try without an insurance claim! We had an awesome time and i’m excited to do it again!”
