It’s always such a bummer hearing about a rider that is going through cancer or something terrible. Sam Tormey hasn’t exactly been dealt the best of cards as of late and has been fighting cancer hard. There’s a GoFundMe setup to help out Sam and his family in this tough time. They have already met their $10K goal, but anything to go above and beyond is greatly appreciated.
DIG caught up with Steven Hamilton for a fresh Rapid Response where he talks influential riders, favorite place to ride these days, getting his license, being sober for 3 years, sponsors and more. It’s so good seeing how much Steven has changed since he’s given up the drugs and alcohol! Also psyched to see he finally got around to learning tailwhips, haha.
We woke up to an interesting photo in the Facebook feed this morning. Ben Ward, GT Bicycles new BMX team manager / product developer / all around good dude, posted up a little sneak peek photo of some bars that he is showing off at the Taipei Bicycle Show this week. The bars are based off their original iconic 4-piece bars that a lot of you older guys know and love! We asked Ben for some details on the specs, but he wasn’t able to give us any specific details just yet as far as specs or a release date goes… Based off the photo it does appear that they will be available in black and chrome and will come with more modern geometry as far as sizing goes. Release date? If they’re showing these off like this… Our guess is within the year.
So, if you could pick the geometry for these; rise, width, backsweep and upsweep, what would your ideal dimensions be for these bad boys? Let us know in the comments!
Ola Selsjord dropped the 2nd episode of his “Days in the Life” series that he’s been working on! This past week he got some super productive sessions in with Nick Laureitsen and Martin Hoel between a few parks and a couple street spots! This one is packed with some wild barspin, tailwhip and no hander combos along with plenty of grinds. Take a look!
Merritt‘s connects over in Japan, Umi Asano and Li Haoran recently spent some time cruising the streets of Shanghai stacking clips for this new BMX video. If you’re looking for grinds, this has plenty of peg action! This place looks like such a wild place to ride.

We have been seeing a TON of love for the HEAD TUBE BADGE lately! It looks like Primary Threads just had a small batch of their own whipped up! These head tube badges are made down in Australia by Scott Maney at Metalworks and are laser cut from 0.7mm thick 304 Stainless steel sheet and formed, then it’s polished and given some 3M double sided tape to help it stick to that head tube of yours.
There are only 25 of these available (well, it looks like 23 now) worldwide for $30 AUD in the Primary Threads Webstore.
