Product: Brotherhood – Oyster Guard Sprocket

The other day we were tipped off on a brand out of Russia called “Brotherhood” that are producing some sprockets that are definitely worth taking a closer look at! The one that really caught our eye is their Oyster guard sprocket. It might look like a slightly strange guard sprocket, but what you probably didn’t know is it uses a two-piece design and is HOLLOW on the inside! We don’t have much info on the sprocket just yet, but we are working on an interview to find out more about the brand and their products that we’ll hopefully see soon! Editorial: Travel Memories

For the second installment of our Editorial series, we have a unique piece from Justin Schwanke where he relives a single trick that went down on a spot in Munich, Germany during a trip he took this past summer! This one is an interesting read for any of you who love vivid memories from a certain trick, spot or moment. Take a look!

“In the last few years of my life I’ve contracted the travel bug. It’s a strong virus with symptoms of vagabond desire, a craving for adventure, and a longing to be well-cultured. For me, the bicycle seems to be the paramount device to assist in spreading this virus, and connecting with other infected individuals. As a proud victim of this infection, I hope to share my stories and experiences in this series, bicycles involved or otherwise. In doing so, perhaps I may be able to achieve the status of a parasite and inspire others to contract the travel bug themselves….

Ola Selsjord & Nick Lauritsen – First Outdoor Session of 2015

After a cold and brutal winter, we’re sure a bunch of you are just looking for any sign of Spring to get you excited. Today, we have one of our first good signs in the form of a video featuring Ola Selsjord and Nick Lauritsen getting their first session of the year at their local outdoor park in! Although it looked a little chilly and that bowl looks like it needs a good cleaning, they were able to stack some real solid clips! Cannot wait to ride outside…

The Boardroom X 4Down Park Edit

Odyssey – Chase Hawk’s Hawks Nest

To say that Chase Hawk is a seasoned veteran when it comes to traveling would be an understatement! That’s why when he went to work with Odyssey to design his signature Hawk’s Nest bag, he had a lot of ideas of what he wanted to see as features for it. Here’s a quick video Odyssey dropped showing you how Chase loads his bag up before he hit the road once again.

Sneak Peek: Cult – Mind Control V2 Stem

There has been a lot of emphasis on top load stems in BMX lately and that’s not necessarily a bad thing, unless you’re a fan of front or drop load stems. We have seen a few front load options pop up lately like Chase Hawk’s new one from Odyssey, and it looks like Cult are doing a little tweaking to the Mind Control stem that has been apart of their line up since it’s inception 5 years ago. The Mind Control V2 is CNC machined made from 6061 aluminum with solid chromoly bolts, a reach of 51mm, 29.5mm stack height and a 7mm rise. This version is a little more beefed with a wider stance that gives more clamping area on the bars, a recessed top for a flush top cap and the etched logo moved from the face plate to the side. The Mind Control V2 will be available this spring in colors of black, raw and Rasta with a weight of 10.4 oz.

DK Bicycles No Longer Selling To Wal-Mart?

DK = No More Bikes in Wal-Mart – More BMX Videos

Well, here’s some interesting news that I’d imagine some of you guys will be psyched to hear… DK Bicycles are no longer selling to Wal-Mart so they can focus on core shops and mail-orders. Sounds like good news to us!

“Effective immediately, DK will no longer be shipping complete bikes to Wal-Mart stores. Here’s the official word on this and their current focus from The Beard.
