The 2014 Ghetto Jam Highlight Reel

The 2nd annual Zeal BMX Ghetto Jam went down the other weekend and as expected, the crew put together a crazy setup made from pallets, boards and a lot of screws to hold it all together. Check out highlights from some of the dialed riding that went down!

“ZEAL BMX Distribution put on its second Ghetto Jam recently at its HQ in the depths of northern England. This year their homemade course was bigger and better, with obstacles vaguely resembling ramps made from anything Zeal head honcho James Hitchcox could muster up. Incredibly, they only had a one-day build to prepare for the event. Time was tight but with some elite teams of thoroughly unskilled workers (and even some that were skilled) they built tons of stuff to ride and riders made use of every wall, block and bump on the course. In typical Ghetto Jam style there were beers flowing and a BBQ burning to keep everyone fueled and motivated to ride. The northern sun was blazing and the atmosphere at the Jam was all about the fun but its safe to say gaps got sent, tricks got done, and a lot of laughs were had by all. Andy Maguire – Traveling in 2014

It’s always a good day when Andy Maguire hits us with a new edit! Check out some fresh footage of him away from home at different parks and street spots he has come across along the way!

“I don’t really leave Santa Cruz a lot, but it was very refreshing and inspiring to put together a video from clips that were shot from out of town. I’m not sure if I’ve ever made a video part without at least one clip from good ol’ Santa Cruz. Whether it was the next county over or a couple of states away, traveling always challenges your take on riding and life in general. Although I love where I live, it’s great to get off the island and place yourself in new surroundings. Here’s to the end of this year, and to what the new year will bring! Thanks to everyone who filmed, came on a trip with me, or watched this video!

We get a good number of submissions of photos these days and we’ve seen a TON of great photos from talented photographers all over, but it’s not every day we get a submission from a photographer than shoot on multiple cameras from digital to film. There’s something about a photographer that knows how to shoot with more than just digital that is real impressive since it’s a bit of a “lost art” so to speak these days with so many people wanting instant gratification. When we received Ryan Ogawa’s photos, it was pretty clear he likes to shoot a little bit of everything with his Canon 40D and 5DMK1, Hasselblad 500c/m and an old Pentax 35mm for when an unexpected photo opportunity arises. We couldn’t pass up on these photos that Ryan shot around the Fresno, California area, so we put together a fresh new photogallery featuring Chad Osburn, Jake Ortiz, Cody Wilson, Michael Garcia and more!

Portugal has been a hot spot lately! Check out the Fit UK team having their way with spots in Lisbon!

“Fit’s UK contingent – Benny L. Bengo, Olly Rendle, Addy Snowdon, Farren Downes and Phil Martin – along with special guest Jordan Hango, took a trip to Lisbon, Portugal a few weeks ago. The weather was a bit blustery, but that didn’t keep the boys from getting busy. Peter Adam was on hand to capture the magic and, ta da, we now have the pleasure of revealing Part 1 of the coverage.
