If you follow Ruben Alcantara on Instagram, this news might not be a huge surprise because he is constantly posting up photos of cement parks that are being constructed. Now, it might have seemed that he was just a really big fan of the construction process, but there’s more to the story than that. Ruben and his friend and skateboarder, Aitor Veguillas, have started a skatepark design and construction company called Soulparks. Between the examples from their work they already have done and Ruben’s knowledge of proper cement waves, this can only mean that this is only going to lead to some incredible park. It’s been a minute since we have seen Max Terrasson’s name pop up, but it looks like he hasn’t slowed down one bit. When you have a crew like Markit does filming for a DVD project like “Markit Zero”, you’re bound to end up with some “leftover” footage that just didn’t quite make the cut! After a huge expansion in 2013, adding locations like Brazil, Spain and Germany to their locations, X-Games have announced that they will be scaling back in 2014 and returning to their 2 stop format; one in Austin, Texas for the summer and the other in Aspen, Colorado for the winter. This is some what surprising news, but based on the economics and logistics of making the global X-Games work, it’s not shocking.
