After a huge expansion in 2013, adding locations like Brazil, Spain and Germany to their locations, X-Games have announced that they will be scaling back in 2014 and returning to their 2 stop format; one in Austin, Texas for the summer and the other in Aspen, Colorado for the winter. This is some what surprising news, but based on the economics and logistics of making the global X-Games work, it’s not shocking.
