Anton Arnarson – Summer Mix 2013

Going into this, I read only part of the description and I almost thought that Anton Arnarson was riding this hard 3 weeks after surgery. I quickly realized I’m an idiot and all of these clips were filmed before he broke his collar bone which will take him off his bike for a little while. However, this edit he pieced together with his down time is loaded with some super good riding that you should definitely check out! Get well soon, Antony!

I’m sitting here trying to think if I’ve seen any female flatland riders before. Either it’s too early and my brain isn’t working or this is the first edit I’ve seen. Either way, I found this rad one over on Flat Matters that Paula Callery featuring a bunch of girls from around the world laying down some links. Definitely awesome to see.

First Look: Red Bull Dreamline Course

Oh… my… god… I went to the original Dreamline contest two years ago and this course is WAY gnarlier… and I didn’t think it could be done. WOW. This contest is going to be NUTS.

“Reality came crashing in yesterday as the riders arrived in Angel Fire, New Mexico, and got their first look at the course that Adam Aloise and his crew spent nearly six weeks building. Excitement levels were running high as they were faced with just how big everything was, followed quickly by a desire to ride it as soon as possible.

Unfortunately they’d have to wait, as rain forced the cancellation of Wednesday’s practice session. The riders were even forced to turn back on their first attempt to see the course when rain and hail battered the mountainside. Thankfully, the clouds parted briefly in the afternoon, long enough for a course walk-through and psych-up session.

Several riders were out on the mountain early Thursday morning, armed with shovels to help the build crew erase the minimal damage from Wednesday’s rains. With beautiful vistas and some sets bigger than most of the riders have hit before, the course is a once-in-a-lifetime setting, ready for the best the riders have to offer.

Rest in Peace, Bob Wahl

It’s always a bad day when you come across news like this. The other weekend Bob Wahl went missing some time between leaving his place and hitting up the Animal Street Jam in Philadelphia. Word was spread to help find him and a Facebook page was setup to help keep people up to date. It was announced today that they have found Bob and that he had passed away. No details on what happened, but they do have a memorial service set up for him that you can find out more about right here. I didn’t know Bob, but it’s never good to hear about a BMX rider passing. Rest in peace, Bob!
