John Thompson sent through another section from the “Blazeguard” DVD for us all to enjoy. This time around features Kym Grosser getting loose on some handrails, doing some big drops and tossing some of the quickest nothings in BMX. Not to mention that the filming and editing is damn good as well! Enjoy!
Vans – Van Doren Invitational Video
Vans dropped this badass video from the Van Doren Invitational that went down during the U.S Open of Surfing the other weekend. This video gives you an all around look at everything that went down from the riding, to the music, butt cheeks (Oooh so many butt cheeks) and grilling that Steve Van Doren was doing! This is how you throw a contest.
“The inaugural Van Doren Invitational bowl jam featuring skateboarding and BMX was just one more exciting and action packed event for fans to experience during the Vans US Open of Surfing.“
Diversion TV Retrospective – Art Thomason
Here’s a rad one that Bobby Carter uploaded featuring some classic footage of Art Thomason that I found over on Flat Matters. This one is pretty crazy because Art not only kills it on his bike, but he kind of talks about what he was doing for school at the time that lead him to his job at NASA. How sick is that?
“Diversion Retrospective: Art Thomason
Art Thomason rips it up back when he was in school. Now he works at NASA and is still ripping it up! We had a really short amount of time to shoot this segment and he pulled of a ton of combos! Check it out!“
David Peraza and Gerado Martin at Woodward West
Here’s a real good video giving you a look at David Peraza and Gerado Martin’s trip to Woodward West that they took recently. This video has a ton of really good riding in it along with a look at some of the good times they had during their trip. Hit that play button!
“Here we are! Riding bmx at WoodWard West, California!
Traveling all the way from Tuscon, Arizona comes David Peraza, Gerardo Martin A.K.A. “Wero”, Victor Munoz from Chile, And Filming for the trip Christopher Hana A.K.A. “El Gringo”!
Woodward West has some of the best facilities I’ve ever seen for bmx park, if you’ve ever thought about a place to go for trying out any high flying, crazy trick, this is the place to go!
“just go out and have some fun riding your bike”
“Diviertete en tu Bci” – David Peraza
Taking off at 10pm From Tuscon, Arizona, we drove through till hitting riverside to drop off my brother, Kevin Peraza, for the US Open of Surfing bmx event. Heading through San Bernardino we picked up Chris Hana, and headed off to Woodward West for some week long fun.
After getting to Woodward West a day in, David was hurting from a previous shoulder injury, so he wasn’t able to ride at his best for the duration of the trip, but he still had fun 🙂 Wero was going good until he biffed it a few too many times on his Backflip Double Tailwhip attempts, and landed a bit on his shoulder after falling off to the side. he was glad though it happened to him on the last day of the trip though!
Woodward West is located at Tehachapi, California, about 40miles from Bakersfield, and 115 Miles from Los Angeles.
This video was filmed with a Canon 5D MK III, Glidecam HD – 2000.M”
Ryan Lewis 2013 Edit
Here’s a fresh one from Solid‘s Ryan “Werm” Lewis tearing up a bunch of his local street spots and skatepark. Take a peek at this one because it’s well worth a watch!
Colony- Chris Courtenay Raw Clips
Colony recently came across some footage that was shot of Chris Courtenay all the way back in 2011, and somehow got lost in the shuffle. Better late than never, so they tossed them in Adobe Premiere, skipped the music and got these clips to your eyeballs as quickly as they could after discovery. ET nose press to pice 270 around 1:10 is my favorite.
The Come Up x ODI Chicago Jam Video
The Come Up and ODI put together a really rad jam/video premiere in Chicago and this edit really seems to capture the fun of the event. Some big names come through, local shredders do their thing, and everyone goes home happy with some money or free stuff.
Alli Sports – Mike Gray Bike Check
See what Mike Gray is running right now, and find out his reasoning on why he runs one flange and one plastic peg. We also get some dialed street riding from Mr.Gray as well. While watching the bike check, this came up in the suggestions column. Good call, Youtube!
