Rob is one of those guys who is constantly on the move and constantly doing cool shit! If you follow him on Instagram there’s a good chance that you see what he’s getting into on a regular basis. We figured between his new edits like the one from The Bakery the other week, to all of the traveling along with the guns and motorcycles we’ve been seeing in the photos, it was a good time to catch up with the guy to find out what’s new. Take a look at what he had to say!

Here’s a fresh round of Calling the Shots with Premium‘s Dan Foley and Connor Lodes! I shouldn’t have to tell you how good this is! Hit play!
“Premium BMX team riders Dan Foley and Connor Lodes meet up for another edition of Calling The Shots. Dan Foley flew out to San Diego all the way from North Carolina only to lose his bike the process and leave Conner Lodes to handle the whole episode himself! Conner has this park dialed dropping crazy moves and confirming he’s one of the most tech guys in BMX! Dan Foley just kicks back the whole time calling tricks and enjoying the sun. Here’s a pretty funny video Dustin Grice put together from Ben Polaschek’s backyard…or… I mean Carrie’s backyard (Benny’s fiancĂ©). Take a tour of the yard, see some pranks, then check out some riding from Ben, QBP‘s Glenn Dussl and Jay Schlie, Haro‘s Colton Walker, a rare Nick Lucas sighting, and Jeff McClearen with his shirt off and riding his crotch rocket in sandals. This is pretty uncut stuff and 10 minutes of a lot of random stuff with riding mixed in, but worth a watch for sure! Minnesota has spots!
The best part about BMX is that you don’t need words to understand it. I’m not sure exactly how silent, Silent Mike is… But I do know he’s a shredder on a BMX bike. Take a look!
“I don’t think I’ll ever fully know how good Silent Mike is at riding bikes simply because I ride with him so sporadically. Needless to say, I’m impressed every time. This remix was a reminder as to how talented he is, as well as putting out a few SD clips that never made it into any CC edits after the HD conversion. I totally forgot all the SD settings, so it may look a little crusty, but the riding speaks for itself. Calm, casual, and in control.

JJ Palmere’s signature frame from Fiend is due out just in time for Christmas this year. Although that’s still 6 months away, they figured they would give you the heads up that it’s coming and release a few of the specs. The frame will come with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.625″ bottom bracket height and a 13.25″ chainstay length (slammed). It will be available in top tube sizes of 20.5″, 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″. That’s all the released on their website, but based on this photo it looks like they’ve got gussets on the top and down tubes, a tapered seat tube, rounded bridges on the stays for added tire clearance, an integrated seat post clamp and removable seat stay mounts.
Expect full details on color options, weight and more features of the frame closer to its release in December 2013.
