This is pretty rad. These guys hit up an abandoned island (Alcatraz? I don’t think so… but maybe?) just off of San Francisco for a day of BMX some untapped spots. They didn’t get a ton of clips, but they definitely got a few that you can check out in this video!
“We found ourselves waking up early, day trippin, taking ferrys to secluded places where few have rode 20’s before. It was a tight schedule due to Ferry departure times, and not the best place to get injured (like there ever is one). Most of our time was spent in search of new spots and ducking the police, who were heavy on our case since we stepped foot on the foreign land. We had an injury early in the day that killed the vibe but later we found our spirits rising again.” – Terry Barentsen

Mathew Gistinger, of Tech As Shit and The Foot High Ledge League, is back with a new edit of himself and 2 friends. It has all of the insanely technical and creative grind combos that you would hope for, plus what looks to be a triple crankflip! Even in slow motion it’s hard to keep track, but I’m 99% sure they went around 3 times.
Check out Scott Ditchburn doing a really uncommon trick with ease. I know I saw one of these in some Russian video a few years ago (sans hard 180), which is when my good friend and I began doing them. Other than that video, and my friends edit a while back, I’ve never seen it on video again for years. Maybe now that a popular pro did one they’ll begin popping up more. This very well may be the first one ever taken to 180.
