I thought I posted this up the other day, but I guess I was imagining things because I went back and double checked to realize I missed it. Check out this video of Daniel Wedemeijer getting his flip on to promote the Framed Reaction event that Red Bull is doing in Amsterdam. This should be rad!

Spotted this on Flat Matters. Due to JoMoPro (or the STLpro now) not happening for Flatland, a few of the guys decided to get together for 3 days of riding on their own terms. Check out this video featuring Ross Smith, Claude Hickman, Andy Ross, Drew Henderson, Jeremy Jones and Brandon Woldridge laying down some real good flatland riding. Contest? They don’t need no stinkin’ contest!

Marcus Humer, Norbert grunt, Florian Grunt and Christoph Eder did what all of us wish we did over the winter and took off to Spain for a little time in the sunshine and warmth. They ended up at a handful of skateparks, trails and street spots that you can check out in this 16 minute video loaded with solid riding and good times. If this doesn’t make you want to go on a trip right now, you’re probably crazy.

Ride with K-Rob Family Fun Festival Presents Wisdom to Youth BMX Contest

This is pretty cool. All around good guy, Kevin Robinson, is putting together a rad event that’ll bring some old school riders together with some of the younger crowd for a interesting event. Take a peek at the official press release below to find out more.

“East Providence, RI – May 15, 2013 – The 3rd Annual Ride with K-Rob Family Fun Festival will include an exciting new event in 2013 with the addition of the 1980s-themed Wisdom to Youth contest, sponsored by K-Rob Events, Red Bull and Hoffman Bikes. Held at the Looff Carousel in East Providence on June 8, the event will be modeled after the vert and flatland contests that pushed the progression of BMX in the 1980s. Hosted by Kevin Robinson, the event will be incorporated into the Family Fun Festival as a way to celebrate the roots of BMX and spread awareness for where today’s iteration of the sport has come from.

Wisdom to Youth will include an Invite Veteran Ramp Class, Invite Veteran Flatland Class, Invite Youth Class and a limited spot Open Class. Competition will take place on two 8 foot tall, 8 foot wide quarterpipes, a kick-turn ramp, a 9 foot tall, 12 foot wide quarterpipe and a box jump. Riders will be judged in a variety of categories, including showmanship, difficulty and originality. Competitors will include legendary names such as Joe Johnson and Ron Wilkerson, along with up-and-coming riders. BMX contest commentators from the 80s will be on the scene to hype the action, and a prize purse will be awarded.

The day will close out with the screening of a documentary covering the history of BMX in New England, entitled “A Wicked Ride”. The day will also feature a group ride down the East River Bike Path and a festival complete with vendor booths, live demonstrations, a football combine and live music, as well as the awarding of the 2nd annual “Junior Seau Award of Excellence.”
